I was OK with them at the Mineral Spring Ave branch as I was buying stuff, although hardly anyone knows what they are doing at the paint section, and they cannot even tell me where the wallboard stuff is to do plaster work, nor would they show us. I never bought any, no one showed us where the ready mix stuff was. Well, I happen by the flooring as I wanted a free estimate for hardwoods, and I was talked into a free estimate. No! It will never happen to do 3 bedrooms and my stairs. Not only were they using outside contractors, but they never told me it wasn't a free estimate! First, they assume they are going to win the bid or that we were going to get a free estimate, but they made an appointment to get a lead inspection done because my house is 1972 and not over 1978... are you kidding? They didn't even tell me about that! Now I am paying for a lead inspection and I already have one I paid for that proves I do not have any problems and what's free about the estimate if I have to pay for a lead inspection. Also, what does doing hardwood floors have to do with lead paint? My neighbor got his done with a contractor that did a great job on his hardwoods, and I am using that company. What's more, I am staying away from Lowe's as much as possible. They lost our business. I don't trust them, their antics, their lying to your face, and their jacking the prices up with no idea how much any job might cost. Beware of Lowe's!

If I could give them a lower score I would customer service sucks no matter what Lowe's nobody is ever around and when you find someone it's like you bothered them it's your job help wth, the company itself sucks I will never enter another Lowe's close your doors

The service-desk people are really well-informed. They're great. They also greet each customer. I've never caught anyone in a bad mood, and I've never received incorrect information. I had a question about a household product, and Lynette answered it for me immediately and correctly. She told me exactly where I would find the item I wanted to buy.

If you've been to one big box hardware store you've been to all of them . This is not about what is inside of Lowe's on Mineral Spring . This is about Lowe's reserving parking for military . These military spaces are closer to the door than the handicapped spaces . And exactly why does there need to be military parking ? If a military person had physical issues they would qualify for a parking placard from the state . This would allow them to use handicapped spaces . As it stands these military spaces allow a strapping young 20 year old a parking space closer to the door than it does an 80 year old cane using man with a placard . I am not hating on the military . My dad was a Purple Heart recipient . I guess I am not really understanding what Lowe's is doing with military parking . But they should know it is hurting people with special needs .

Lowes - Where customer service goes to die. Purchased stove, refrigerator, and microwave. Got a delivery date with a 3 hour window the night before and told they will call you 1/2 hour before they come. We removed the microwave, pulled out the stove and emptied 85% of the refrigerator. We left some frozen foods in the freezer with a cooler nearby. It was 85 degrees out. Prior to the "delivery" I realized that they didnt say they were installing the MW so i called the store - after waiting 3 x for nearly 1/2 hr I finally got through and was told thats an extra fee of $159 and the delivery people dont install. I said "you never asked me if I wanted installation and in all honesty I wouldnt have paid $159 ..BUT I would have had someone there to help me..seeing the MW has to go in before the stove. Now what do i do? Suddenly the door bell rings and its delivery guy. I said you were supposed to call. He said I did. I said no you didn't - and of course he said again that he did, I asked what time - he said 12:06. I asked who he talked to and he put his phone away. He's obviously pissed and so am I . He kept saying he called and I said let me see the number you called...NOPE. Let me note: It was pouring that day and he was probably having a bad day but .... I said your installing the water hose right and hooking up stove plug..I said I'm asking because I thought the MW was being installed and just found out from the store that it isn't.. He got really pissed at that and then when he opened the freezer and saw some food in it he flipped. I asked what are you bringing in first - he said fridge - I said we need to empty it and if you had called like you were supposed to it would have been empty. He said " I'm rescheduling for tomorrow and stormed out the door. I chased him out the door asking if he was out of his mind. He threw the hand truck into the truck and they drove off. Stunned - I called N Prov and they said the delivery company would call me back shortly. I told them that driver would not be allowed in my home. After 2.5 hours I called corporate and waited another 1/2 hour only to be told it would take 24 hours before they could call me back to reschedule the delivery. Well its been well over 24 hours and the 2.5 hours and I have not received an email, phone call. I did however get my new Lowes credit card in the mail today. Its already been chopped up into little pieces. I will never walk into a Lowes ever again. They are Hacks. Stay far far away.

Worse store ever I purchased a grill assembled got it home screws falling off went to light it almost blew up in my face because the pipe for the gas line was underneath instead of over it so the gas just went out in the air and when tried to light it , it blew up. Brought it back wanted to give store credit instead of my money back and they didnt have anymore grills in stock I had the receipt but needed to go on the credit card in which I purchased it on . They said couldnt use it online had to be in store. Found another grill there that they gave me for the same price was supposed to be assembled and delivered in 5 days . here we are 10 days later no grill after the last 3 days keep telling it will be delivred the next day. Never again go elsewhere

Because of some political stands that Home Depot has taken lately, I have been going to Lowe's more. Walking into this particular store I saw a big sign regarding their Spring Fest, where they have specials on appliances, paint supplies, gardening items and more... The store is about the same as other Lowe's, I went to check on some pull chains for a ceiling fan/lamp we have and the selection was very good. The traffic on Mineral Springs is usually tough to deal with, but if you can go during off peak hours, it's not that bad.

This place is the worst nightmare any one could step into I would recommend home depot over this organization I wanted to buy my son a gift for his birthday they refused to discount using the lowes credit card when I called another lowes in Warwick they were amazed and said what they told me was wrong they should have discounted as card terms state I called back north providence lowes spoke with assistant manager who assured me he would fix this stating I will locate product and call you back four hours later no call I guess this organization does not get customer skills I will never step foot inside of another lowes I suggest they are in business to serve the customers start training your staff

This place sucks! Literally had to wait almost hour from someone in the paint department! Should've just went to Home Depot! Next time I'll just trust the reviews when I read them ... Don't go here ! Literally 5 employees walking around doing absolutely nothing ! While no one in the paint department...

no issue with this store specifically. my issue is with Lowes website suggested i would receive an item via shipping by a certain date and the delivery date has been changed twice and it's a week later than suggested on your website. stop lying to customers, this will be the last time I order anything from Lowe's to be shipped, the stores are great, online though... joke

I purchased a Husqvarna backpack leaf blower from Lowe's in North Providence. Without the extended warranty the blower carries a 30 day warranty. I used the blower three times in a 45 day period and it did not start easily or run right from the start. I brought it back in to Lowe's, not looking for a return, but to have it serviced. I was told nothing they could do since I didn't purchase a warranty. They said to take it to an authorized dealer. After a speaking with several managers over a three day period I got them to agree to send it out for repair. It came back 10 days later with a $53 service charge for a "dirty carburetor and bad gas". Ironically I purchased the recommended TruFuel mixture from Lowe's when I bought the blower. The blower is brand new - it should not have needed to have been serviced and Lowe's could care less about the customer. Lesson learned - stay away from any major purchase because Lowes will not help you unless you have purchased an additional warranty. Note: the Husqvarna warranty for blowers is two years. But Lowes made it out to be like the customer did something wrong in using the product. Beware!

my step dad went to Lowe's to buy a appliance refrigerator he's a veteran he asked about the military discount and they said they couldn't give it to him because he bought a appliance. my neighbor who is also a veteran went to Lowe's to buy a microwave appliance he was denied military discount because of the same reason. what veterans aren't good enough to get discount because they buy appliance? I think this is slap in the face of all veterans. don't think they'll shop there again.

It's Lowes. The only steady home improvement store in North Providence thar has withheld the test of time. Whether that is because of thier excellent location, customer service or variety of supplies, they're still here serving the community. With that, I do wish they were more involved with their community. There are tones of non-profits, children's programs and more that they could support, and yet don't. They're like a brick house yo crack, and it's very hard to get anyone to speak with about community relations. Outside of that gripe, I really do like this location. They always have nice plants, including great clearance racks that rotate. On more than one occasion. We've dealt with Management about returns, or item issues and they've always been so helpful. There is ample parking. The contractor door is in a less than perfect location, but otherwise no issues with the lot. Typical Lowes. Nothing super special.

This place is an utter shit show. I don't know why I even bother using them anymore at this point. The last time I ordered supplies for a home improvement project, I had both an email receipt and a physical receipt, as well as two witnesses, to the date they said they would deliver the materials. Therefore the contractors were waiting at my house and Lowes never showed up. When I called them they denied they said that was the delivery date even though I had proof. They continued to tell me it was wrong. Once that was rectified I decided to purchase a floor installation. Randy told me he would call me in an hour to give me the price quote. Four hours laterI called and was told he would call me back in 10 minutes. Two hours later. I called and he told me everything was in stock and it was all set to go. That someone would call me back within 48 hours to set up a time. Four days later no one called me back. When I called the store suddenly they didn't have it in stock but would let me know when it was in stock within the next couple of days. A few days later no phone call. I called and spoke to Craig who said he would pick the materials up himself. Then I went into sign the contract and Craig told me to call four seasons to set up the installation. Upon calling four seasons they told me they couldn't do it because Lowes didn't have the materials. It just continues to be a shit show. That entire place needs to be re-staffed. On top of this I've also been calling corporate who continues to tell me that someone will call me back within 24 hours to rectify it this is going on for days in a row and no one has called. They clearly do not give a damn about their customers or their customer service.

I was purchasing wood at lowes north providence store, the store had very few shoppers that day. I said hello to the cashier on the way in and she ignored me; the wood department was very under stocked and of poor quality , after spending considerable time picking out wood I went to the same cashier who was doing nothing at all. Again I said hello and she began compLaing to me how her job sucked (sic) and she was under paid; what a turn off. She overcharged me eight dollars, I questioned the amount she told she was underpaid again and I could carry the wood across the store and find a manager. I told her to apply at McDonald's because they pay $15 an hour but they might expect her to work. she told to get out of her store and kept mouthing off . What a horrible experience I will take my business to Home Depot .
