DISCLOSURE: I AM NOT, and HAVE NOT EVER BEEN A CLIENT I GAVE 3 stars to be fair bc I've never actually seen their finished work or dealt with them directly. (More on that below) I've never hired this company but I don't think I will. They do plowing in the winter around town and 2 words sum it up: reckless and rude. Here's two more: unsafe and careless. A few years ago, someone driving an Allard construction truck was tailgating me with a plow through my small town. Speed limit is 25, but with heavy snow and treacherous conditions, at night, I was going much slower and was still having trouble with traction. Mr. plow behind me was trying to get to his next job to make $$ and I was holding him up, so he rode my bumper trying to "push" me to go faster. I would have pulled over to let him pass but with the snow, I couldn't. He turned his plow lights on to try to make it more clear he thought I was going too slow. I had to tolerate the harassment all the way home. As I slowed to turn into my driveway, he finally sped past me, going up into a snow bank to do so (must be nice to have 4 wheel drive) and with the window down he yelled at me while waiving a fist. Nice guy. Not. I left a vm at their business number to complain but never got an apology. Fast forward to today...I was woken up by Allard Construction plowing the parking lot at the apartment complex behind my house...again. Whoever is doing the plowing over there DROPS the plow at every pass instead of just lowering it. It's SO LOUD. Like someone is dropping a dumpster. Sounds the same. The parking lot is 10' away my window. It's also 10' outside the residents' windows at the complex. This is the 3rd or 4th time this has happened and it's the beginning of winter. The other times it was at 3 and 4 am, and continued until dawn. Oh, and, it wakes up my young kids too. Once kids are up, and they see snow, that's it. There's no going back to bed. Since I'm up...I look to see what the heck is going on back there. This guy goes WAY too fast and slams the plow down while the vehicle is in motion. Ive lived here for almost 9 years and never been disturbed by the plow at the apartments. I've never seen such reckless, rushed plowing ever. And the noise! I can deal with the scraping noise and the back up beeping, but the crashing metal on pavement...It's disruptive, and, more importantly, it's ruining the surface of the lot. The first time it happened I thought maybe the plow is broken, and they just need to get the job done and then will fix it. I think they've had plenty of time to fix it, if that was the case. I called to complain again but I don't expect a call back. I don't normally leave bad reviews but, what else can I do? It's pretty clear they don't give a crap about their neighbors.
