Has the equipment to be a great gym if the staff enforced some rules. For instance, why is everyone allowed to bring a portable speaker? Can't hear yourself think while there are 10 different people blaring their own music over the music the gym plays.

The only reason I sign up for LA and not the competitors is because of the Pool and Racket court. lately the night staff have been locking the front door at 9:15-9:30 PM. and when I walk in they tell me its doors are closed. The gym hours are 5AM-10PM.30 minutes is a lot for me, I get out of work late and run to the gym with hope I get at least 20 minutes of fast cardio. I hear more and more complaint about closing the door 30-45 minutes early. Its ridiculous, if my monthly payment doesn't go through for 2 days I get a call. However nothing is being resolved with the early closure of the front doors.

Great place. Just a few things….there are no private dressing areas in the locker rooms, people get in the hot tub for over an hour so you don’t feel comfortable to get in, also people go I to the sauna fully dressed with out showering and wearing shoes.

This gym is trash. The staff could care less about maintaining the equipment. They regularly do not have any safety equipment for users (e.g clips), have more barbell workout stations than barbells and the staff is argumentative and dismissive if you ask for help finding the basic equipment the gym should provide to their users (cleaning supplies, foam rollers, kettlebell, safety clips). Save some money and go to planet fitness next door.

Usually busy and hard to rotate around the equipment while maintaining a good pump, as you have to often wait for equipment availability.The facilities & staff are good. Helpful and involved.

It got better. Planet Fitness took some clientele away. Still no discrete shower for women. A curtain maybe. No bench to put your stuff down. Lady tries really hard to keep it clean. She is new and is at least cordial to a senior citizen. Recently I was assaulted in the pool by the 10a.m. guy who said I hadn’t showered. He surrounded me with arms like a basketball player and would not allow me to move. Of course this ended up being my fault and that I would be asked to leave. Also he is very busy with people being friendly because he thinks he is the mayor of the pool. 10 a.m. guy. You know him by sight. He’s a short water walker with glasses chatting up the ladies. When I screamed and said leave me alone my husband passed from COVID he retorted it figures. Wow. That was a while ago but last week my clothes were stolen off a hook. I had to run in the cold to my car in a towel. Lock it up. Don’t talk to anyone. I try to keep my space learning late in life that no one wants to be your friend. Pool etiquette is different in the rest of the facility. But honk of you like to see women obsess on their Kimmy K posterior by taking pictures in a mirror. If only the YMCA had hours. Sigh…. This place does but definitely more hours pre Covid. Oh and the nearby Planet fitness is surprising a very nice facility. I don’t know why I stayed away. Large, private Changing booths and very clean! Front staff is very helpful and the machines are well maintained. Swimming at PODS now. East Providence. Choice of Olympic champ Elizabeth B. Best pool in the state. Clean wide lanes. No kids as they have their own pool. Signed pool rat

My first time using a gym in Rhode Island and I was very impressed. I was treated with great customer service and the staff was extremely friendly. I was here only for a day but one I won’t forget!

These previous reviews are all fake bots or told to by staff, this gym is one of the worst in the state. On top of the bad and dirty equipment & sleazy sales tactics to get your money they use to try to sell “PT” contract with bad trainers who got certifications from a cereal box …will not be showing back up.

The gym is quite spacious and has many cardio machines and resistance training options . The pool is nice . Parking is good . The dumbbells are often out of place during busy hours . I have many issues with this gym and instead of ranting off my complaints , I would make some suggestions : 1. Have a staff member go around the gym every hour or so to put loose laying dumbbells , foam rollers and balls in their proper places . 2. Have contact free water fountains where people can fill their water bottles ( just like Planet Fitness ). In the time of covid , you should not be having traditional water fountains like the one near your basketball court . 3. If a trainer leaves or resigns , make it a point to inform the member asap . I have been left hanging dry just to find out the trainer resigned STAFF MORALE AND RETENTION IS VERY POOR IN THIS GYM! 4. Make it easier for members who buy personal training packages able to "pause" charges in case of travel or illness or if the trainer himself is out of town . The way you impose your billing rules are very shady and should be reviewed !

I met with Gracie in sales this week and let me tell you she is nothing short of amazing. She happened to stop in my job earlier in the day and i over heard her talking about how she worked at LA. I chimed in because i was considering joining and Gracie had me sold before i even saw the inside of the gym. Later that day i stopped in and she signed me up & gave me an elaborate tour, being sure to point out all her favorites. She was so welcoming , pay this girl more money! :) I seriously never review anything so for me to take the time to do this means i am HIGHLY impressed.

Very Happy.. manager was great, as was his staff.. i worked years in sales, this was a pleasent surprise... the gym sells itself.. the facilities were clean, and the equipment is top end....management does an amazing job allowing the staff to help anyone in need..Bottem line for me.. i feel comfortable workn' out there.. every gym is different... LA Fitness Pawtucket is the enviorment i was looking for, and it start with the staff, 10/10 .. TY LA Fit

Not sure what some of these newer reviews are talking about, there is actually all new management there, the GM Shawn was sent from a different club and has been doing his best to improve the gym for everyone… his assistant took care of upgrading my membership with care and diligence. Very pleased with the service.
