My husband and I had been customers of Wesco Oil for at least 25 years. We have purchased 2 boilers from them and 3 oil tanks between the 2 houses we have owned. We have purchased our oil exclusively through them for that length of time also even though their prices are always on the higher end. And we have always had our boiler maintained by them. This past year when oil prices surged, we did purchase a tank of oil from another company who had a significantly cheaper rate. Last week when I called Wesco to set up routine maintenance with them I was told they would no longer accept us as a customer due to purchasing oil from another provider, one time. (they asked why I had not purchased oil since January). This is the thanks we have gotten for our 25 + years of paying for their services. Pretty poor response on their part

Ordered oil through this company because everyone in my family, and my landlord suggested them. (12 households total, including me) Ordered 150 gallons last month. $652.35. (more expensive than some other local oil companies, but my family liked this company so I wanted to also give them my business.) This month i get an invoice in the mail for $220.71 Called to ask why, and first they told me I didn't have enough money in my account at the time of purchase? I was confused because I was looking at my bank statement and had the full amount taken out, $652 and I have plenty of money in there so there's no reason why it shouldn't have worked. Also I had placed the order on the phone and the gentleman told me that price, ran my card, and said it was all set. After going back and forth a bit, The woman then looked up the invoice and found that I had indeed ordered and paid for 150 gallons... But whoever came to pump my gas accidentally pumped 200 gallons. I went back and forth with these people for at least 10 minutes telling them I don't think it's fair I have to pay for their mistake. Eventually they offered to lower the due amount to $200. Only took off 20???? Because you made a mistake, I have to pay for it? Maybe make the guy who gave out the extra 50 gallons pay for it?????? Never in my life have I worked with a business that made a mistake, and then made the CUSTOMER pay for it.. My landlord is extremely off-put, as is my family. You Just lost 12 customers. I truly hope that $200 is worth the thousandS of dollars you just lost in business every year from my friends family. HIGHLY do NOT recommend.
