Got stuck at work last night. Nov/24/23. Car wouldn’t start. Had a wonderful experience with AAA Northeast roadside assistance. They took care of me with such ease. From the call agent to Freddie(my battery technician) Freddie got me up and running in a jiffy. Thanks AAA. Many blessings to you, Freddie. Very knowledgeable. You the man!

My elderly grandparents recently had a terrible experience with AAA Roadside Assistance. They were originally given a 4.5-hour window of time for the tow truck to come, and fortunately, I was able to take them to my house nearby to wait. The window of time passed, with no update from AAA or the tow company. My grandfather called back 3 times, receiving new ETAs from an automated voice or dispatcher that the tow company was en route, but they never showed up. One time he was told the truck was rerouted to a bigger job and was already extremely far away from our current location; so how were we told it was 19 minutes away from us? After 6.5 hours, we notified the local PD that their car was going to have to stay in a nearby private business lot overnight and I finally brought them home. My grandfather received a call AT MIDNIGHT that the tow company was on its way, and had to get up in the middle of the night to get to his car. An 11-hour difference from when he originally called AAA for a tow less than 20 miles. This is absolutely devastating to me that AAA would treat anyone this way, especially long-time members, and was very stressful for several members of our family. I don't know if this was an issue with AAA or the contracted local tow company, but the customer service we received was abysmal; we were not provided helpful or timely updates throughout the day. They even told him he would owe money for the tow and said he didn't have qualifying coverage/membership (he does and has for over 12 years). Were they trying to con him into paying more or are they just that disorganized? We are all now questioning the value of our AAA memberships and the commitment of the company to its mission and service.

I had a wonderful experience today when I called to straighten out a payment mix up! Angel was extremely polite and helpful! I recently moved from Florida to Massachusetts. When my renewal came due...it came from South Florida (which I did not pick up on). My payment went to the South Florida office. Angel spent a lot of time to get to the bottom of the issue! He straightened it all out and made sure I had all the correct information!! He is an excellent customer service rep!!! Thank you, Angel!! I have been aa AAA member since 1975!!

AAA initially provided 2 hour window; received multiple texts that driver enroute w/link to "view" the driver's exact whereabouts. Determined driver continuously driving further away while arrival time kept increasing. Called customer service to obtain real-time update and escalate. No supervisor called back. Another hour went by. No one from AAA could reach Ortiz Towing out of Perth Amboy. I go over to google and disappointed AAA would even contract Ortiz... called AAA again (it's now a total of 5 hours since my 1st call and 3 hours past arrival time) spoke to a supervisor who stayed on the line with me until she found a different tow company that would pick up disabled vehicle first thing in the morning. AAA needs to hold their service providers accountable. 5 hours with no factual updates is completely unacceptable!

I requested a tow through AAA on 8/26 for my car on the side of the highway and the tow driver's negligence damaged the rear differential by placing it on a wheel lift when my car is AWD. Despite placing a claim through AAA as soon as it happened, I was without a car and forced to pay out of pocket for a rental for almost a month as my car was repaired by 9/25. The repair itself took less than a day to complete but my car sat at the shop for that whole time due to AAA and the tow company refusing to pay for my car to be repaired and for AAA dragging their heels with the claim, blaming me for the delays when I had everything they needed as soon as it was asked for. The member service representative, Adrienne West, was unresponsive to multiple email and call attempts and was unhelpful in resolving issues with the tow company. As a paying member, I am very disappointed in the service I received for calling AAA to tow my vehicle and I will be very hesitant to use them for any future roadside assistance.

I had a blowout on 295 in Prov RI, I had my dog in the car. I called AAA & requested help, I was quoted 2 hrs (online).. I called back & explained that I was not in a good spot & I had my dog with me & I didn't really feel safe waiting in the car but there was no other choice. The woman I spoke to was very helpful & compassionate about my situation.. not sure what she did but my hero, Sean, was there within an hour of my blowout. He had the tire changed right away & gave me some helpful tips about tires & lug nuts & how far/fast I can drive on a donut. He made sure I got into traffic safely & I was on the road again. AAA is the best, one small payment=peace of mind for a year!! What a concept! Thank you, AAA, once again.

AAA is becoming absolutely useless for its original purpose of Towing.. you can accomplish anything with AAA, but get helped in a roadside emergency.. they have maybe 10 percent of the options for Towing, and because they pay so little, the services they can provide, are under paid imbeciles in vehicles far too large to operate on their level of expertise.. if they can't get you with company #1 there's no company 2.. you can spit, and vicariously find Towing companies, they just don't accept AAA.. I have had to pay 800 dollars 3 times and it took months to get back..

Called due to flat made an online request, waited 2 hrs then called back, apparently I wasn’t on the drivers roster. Had a neighbor nearby help to change the tire. Super disappointed in the service. A phone call or text would have been appreciated in regards to wait time.

I had a car insurance policy with this agency. I sold my car two weeks before the insurance policy ended. Thinking that I did not want the new insurance cycle to start, I canceled 11 days before the policy ended and the new insurance was supposed to start. I was told I would get a refund for the two weeks of insurance. Two weeks later, I had a deduction of $190.00! When I inquired, I was told that this was a cancellation fee for terminating my policy "midcycle"!!! Midcycle!!???It was 11 days before the end of the policy that was fully paid for!. I was never told this when I cancelled the insurance. So disappointing and not a way to treat a long-term costumer. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Buyer beware of predatory practices.

I called them for a lockout because I locked my keys in my car. They sent a third party who broke my door handle so I called them they said to submit a quote from my mechanic I did and now they don’t want to pay. Tow driver absolutely broke it he was brand new on day 1 of the job! Talk about shady company. Tina bishop at customer relations is probably the rudest person I’ve ever had to deal with. She’s so dumb she doesn’t even understand how a door handle works.

Customer service sucks. I tried calling three times only to hang up each time after an hour on hold. On my fourth attempt I hit the prompt to ask for a call back and it is now 9 days later and I have yet to receive a phone call back from AAA.I later went to their office which is 20 miles away to ask for tour books only to find out that they no loner publish them. They are only available in a digital format. When I told the clerk I did not use a cell phone they suggested with a straight face that I take my computer with me in the car. Idiots.

I recently had a question regarding a tow I had requested so I called the service line and the woman Lisa I spoke with was beyond rude. I had a question regarding being present with my vehicle and if they could make any exceptions and she immediately snapped back at me "what part of MUST be with your vehicle don't you understand!!!!" I could not believe the way I was spoken to. I work in customer service and if I ever spoke to someone the way Lisa spoke to me I am positive I would be fired. Extremely disappointed in the service I received.

My parents called after having horrible sounds start on their car and pulled into a parking lot around 8pm. Said the latest they would get there is 9:48PM. Automated messages said they were still on target. At 10:20 PM still no call or status update. When we called the person answering said dispatch is aware but couldn't provide a timeline. Had to pick them up and leave the car in the parking lot. Following morning requested another and same issue. These automated messages cause such an issue and confusion and there is ZERO transparency on how long this will take. I just feel lucky I was visiting to help them out so they weren't stranded at night. Will be looking to cancel my membership.
