You can forget about doing your taxes early with Charles Schwab. This company is the absolute worst in getting out your 1099. If you like filing your taxes early, look elsewhere. I've had to wait until March for these people to send out a 1099. Then try and get an appointment with a CPA that time of year to get your taxes done. Your looking at April or having to get an extension.

Schwab is the best in the business. My entire family have been using them for over a decade and I recommend them to everyone I can. No out of country call centers, no ridiculous upselling, low to no fees for transactions, and expert products at your finger tips.
the only downside is they need a new design overhaul to attract younger investors to compete with robinhood but I know that will come in due time.

Schwab affiliate advisor trying to help a local client open an account. She wants to drop off a trust account application (along with a $5+ million transfer into Schwab) but we can't get a hold of anyone in the branch, phone number routes directly to Schwab call center, there's no email/support information.
Pretty rough customer service...

Had a great experience with this firm. They helped me leverage my investments in a way that helps grow our buildPROS business, while allowing the investment portfolio to grow while getting us the additional capital we needed. Tiffani and Michael were a pleasure to work with.

Went here to perform an important transaction. Ricardo was wonderful and walked me through every step of the process, from beginning to end. Definitely happy to have this location as an option to supplement the online banking Schwab provides.

Their new auto attendant is heat attack inducing frustrating. You can’t speak to someone. Multiple level of authentication and then the system hangs up on you. Bring back a person to answer the damn phone!!

The only reason I am giving 5 stars was because of a man named Dominic who called me and was the most helpful in assisting me with an issue with my stock account. He did a great job explaining to me what the protocols with Schwab were and answered all of my questions. Prior to him I was calling the main line and I talked to 20 people who never told or explained anything to me and kept leaving me with more questions and running in a circle . I am so thankful for this positive experience Dominic provided me today and had me change my mind on this group. Also it would be a great idea if Dominic could provide training to everyone who answers calls for Schwab!

Went to local branch to make a deposit 1/22 spoke to DOMENIC Feroce he spoke to me like he was doing me a favor but I got over it. After I deposited funds I asked about retirement services/programs. Said I will have HALEY (Hay Lee) call me. Over a week later 1/30 I call Domenic back because haven’t heard from Haley. Once again DOMENIC tells me yes they are really busy etc. (Like this was normal!) I wanted to transfer additional funds and to do long term business with Schwab, now not so much. Note: ended up transferring accounts/funds to Fidelity.

I do not intend to bank with Schwab anymore after my first, and probably now the last, experience with their local branch. Their phone service was great. I talked to a representative (from St. Louis if I remember correctly) to transfer a prior employers 401K to my new IRA. He explained how I needed to either mail the check from the other brokerage or visit in person. I did the drive to the local office and was pretty much just ignored. The one person working there didn’t acknowledge my existence while I was waiting at their welcome/information desk. Then when the person did, he just said it’s going to be a while before he could do anything asking if I was there to deposit a check, as I was. I wasn't expecting much, but maybe a "sorry, a lot of the staff is out for vacation" or something to the effect. Kudo's to him for how he was treating the couple he was working with, they were truly the only people that mattered. Either way, I will find another institution to put my funds into. I am surprised that USAA recommended them.

Excellent experience, as conservator of a family member's assets, I needed to consolidate the assets and access funds. Dominic at the downtown Providence office took the time to walk me through all the forms and fill them out right there in Scwabb office. Very satisfied client.

As people always say, don't keep your eggs in one basket. I do have some money in different investment firms and Charles Schwab is one of them. I usually do my transactions online, but I walk in from time to time. The people at the front desk are very helpful and they have always been able to help me or direct me in the right direction. Very professional. Charles Schwab an American multinational financial services company. It offers banking, commercial banking, investing and related services including consulting, and wealth management advisory services to both retail and institutional clients. It has over 360 branches, primarily in financial centers in the United States and the United Kingdom. It is the 7th largest banking institution in the United States with over US$8.5 trillion in client assets. It had 29.0 million active brokerage accounts, 2.1 million corporate retirement plan participants, 1.5 million banking accounts, and $8.5 trillion in client assets as of February 7, 2022. It was founded in San Francisco, California, and is now headquartered in Westlake, Texas. Founded as Charles Schwab & Co. in 1971 by its namesake Charles R. Schwab, the company capitalized on the financial deregulation of the 1970s to pioneer discount sales of equity securities. After a flagship opening in Sacramento, the bank expanded into Seattle before the 1980s economic expansion financed the bank's investments in technology, automation, and digital record keeping. The first to offer round-clock order entry and quotation, it was purchased by Bank of America in 1983 for $55 million. Three years later, the profitability of the bank's no-charge mutual funds prompted the founder to buy his company back for $280 million.
