This location of Goodwill in Providence, RI is an Attended Donation Center, which means it is just for donations and does not have a store. The first time I came to this location, I wasn't sure where the to put my donations so I ran the bell at the front of the building and was informed that the drop off for donations was around the building to the right. When I got to the drop off location, there is a sign to ring the bell for service. I ran the bell and an attendant opened the door a few minutes later. I dropped off my items and he gave me a coupon for the store. Goodwill accepts items like clothing, shoes, small appliances, and furniture. Donations are sorted and then sold in one of their fifteen retail stores. The revenue from the sale of these donations helps to support the programs they offer to individuals with disabilities and other challenges in their lives. This location is open Monday to Friday: 8:00AM - 4:00PM.

The rating was just so I could write that this is not a store do ignore the stars. We drove here because of some of the reviews, only to discover the only actual store in the area is in Attleboro. The receptionist inside was very kind though.

Came here several years ago with the hopes that someone would help me find a job in that at the end of the vocational assessment that would be the outcome well that didn't happen about the only few things that happened was I got to try out a few worksites and a work trial as a receptionist at their office that led to a meeting that said basically that I was good no follow through on a job no job development services Just another agency that gets money from the state does the assessments turns them out

Suddenly you're moving and you know all the locations of Goodwill drop boxes and donation centers in the area! I am so grateful for the work that they do and the fact that they take my donations. I had tons of clothes that I just didn't sort through until my move and we put it all together into a giant pile to take to the donation center. Located near downtown but away from the traffic, this area has a large warehouse where you can drop off your stuff between 10AM and 4PM on weekdays. They are closed on weekends. The drop off area is on the far end of the building and you can pull right up. If the doors are closed, chances are there is no one there at that time. Otherwise, if they are open but you don't see anyone, you can ring the door bell or go to the front desk. They'll take most donations except for fishtanks. People are polite and helpful even though I'm sure they are stretched thin with all the stuff they have to sort through. I'm thankful, though, that they are there so that my stuff can be used to help others!
