I asked for no layers, but I ended up with ear-length layers that I absolutely hate. It’s been months, and I still feel like I came out with worse hair than I went in with. I usually don’t mind my hair, but this experience was not worth the price.

Wonderful friendly stylists, great job on my hair. I am a regular now. I always had trouble finding someone who could cut my fine, but relatively thick, hair well. I come here for hair cuts and multiple fun color dye jobs.

I just got a cut and it is hands down the worst haircut I have ever gotten. Not only was it shorter than I wanted, but the ends were uneven and the face framing pieces were one chopped layer. The stylist was also so rough on my hair during the blow dry that my neck muscles were sore and entire scalp was tender to the touch for a few days. Giving 2 stars because after calling to complain they had me back to try to salvage it. It took nearly an hour to get it to a place I was okay with. I waited a few days to write this review to see if the cut grew on me but it’s really not. I feel like I came in with much prettier hair than I left with and will have to let it grow out quite a bit to get my hair back. I’m usually easygoing when it comes to my hair but felt this experience was not worth the professional price tag.

Ana Banana is the best! ♥️ I can’t get to platinum and at this point I think I’m defeated! However, Ana is very cool and knowledgeable, and she made sure I got out of the salon with the right tone without damaging my hair. I know it’s not platinum but it grew into me so much!! I’m really happy!! I’ve been through so many different hair salon and never been content with any of the results or the service. Ana is sweet and talented!

Hairlab is the only hair salon I have ever been to that I have left with exactly what I wanted! I have been getting my hair done by Jenna Ray only for the last 5 months, but she makes it feel like you're getting your hair done by a friend, she is very charismatic and great at what she does! Always have a good experience and my hair looks and feels great.
Been recommending Hairlab to anyone who asks over the last few months

I don’t like my haircut, they didn’t follow instructions on the sides or the front. I explicitly asked them to keep parts that they didn’t. The staff were SUPER nice, so I am giving three stars, because I don’t think it’s fair to judge that harshly because of one haircut or hairdresser, it could be a fluke. Try it for yourself, but make it super clear what you are asking for.

I made an appointment online. The day of the appointment I received a message first about the appointment having been cancelled then I received another message confirming an appointment later in the day. I called to confirm the appointment and left a message, but did not receive a response. because of the strict cancellation policy I went in person. I was told that the message I had received was a mistake and that I did not have an appointment. instead of an apology or any offer to reschedule, the hairdresser was impolite and unprofessional.

Okay, here's the thing: the haircut was great. I had Cassie, who's one of the owners, and she did a wonderful job with a kind of complex cut. No complaints there.
But there was a looootttt of anti-vax talk in there between her and the other stylists! I don't think a hair salon is the place to be spreading harmful conspiracy theories about vaccines (or frankly anything at all!). It left me feeling so uncomfortable.
I have never in my life left a review on yelp or google or anything, but I just had to warn people about this salon. If you can grit your teeth through the nutty anti-science talk, then you'll be fine, but I will definitely never be coming here again.
Edit: You don’t believe in controlling conversations? Then why did it say on your website that vaccine talk would not be tolerated? Before I came in, I assumed that was meant to avoid confrontations and controversy, but now I see that you just meant that it can only be brought up on your terms. “We all hear things we don’t agree with, sometimes”? How often are you challenged on your beliefs?

Funky little salon with friendly stylists and high-quality products. I most recently booked a haircut with Anna: she was incredibly warm & welcoming and gave me the best haircut of my life! Thank you Anna, I can't wait for next time!
