Loved our late lunch here on a busy Saturday - our meals were served in adorable "bento" style boxes, an array of tasty banchan along with the main course, and a soup. Service was remarkably fast, the atmosphere is perfect for a date! I got the "Stonepot bibimbap" with pork and it was served with a fried egg, arrived sizzling and fresh. I really enjoyed the crusty rice on the bottom. On our next visit I want to try their Ssam, where they let you make wraps using leafy vegetables around savory fillings.

It was packed when we went, a bit of a wait. The hostess did an amazing job managing everyone calmly and efficiently. The vibes are cozy and warm, the staff was lovely and the food was truly delicious. Thank you for a special evening!

After multiple visits and birthdays here all that I can say is that I love this place! The food is delicious this hidden gem has quickly become my go-to spot for Korean cuisine, offering a taste of the vibrant food scene right here in Providence, Rhode Island, the portions are large, and the staff is friendly.

The food tastes worse than frozen versions you might buy at trader joes.

Food is ok. The octopus and pork was drowning in oil and sauce, the pork itself was way over-marinated, and the meat was not great quality. Dumpling soup was very nice, and the banchan was standard. Very good service and environment. Also very expensive or the quality of food.

Overall: disappointing food, great interior design and quick serviceCame on a Friday night, was seated quickly. Ordered the yuzu aloe soju cocktail and soondubu jjigae (silken tofu soup). The drink: sweet and mild, not as citrusy as I had hoped. Probably would’ve enjoyed a bottle of soju more (and with more bang for the buck), but there was no way I was drinking a full bottle of soju on my own!The food: Let’s start with the banchan. It was the least flavorful banchan I’ve ever eaten. I wasn’t expecting it to be on par with the banchan in Korea, but I’d hoped it would at least measure up to banchan in Michigan. The potato just tasted like potato salad, the broccoli had a slight “Korean” flavor, and while the bean sprouts appear to have flavor they don’t actually taste like anything. The cucumber banchan has some pickled flavor and was the best of the set. Despite my grumbling, the soondubu had pretty good flavor. While it wasn’t customizable in flavor like most soondubu I’ve had, it had a good kick to it! The beef was a little tough, though.Dessert: green tea affogato. The ice cream was quite frozen but the espresso helped cream creaminess.

They’re rather pushy about getting you out the door. Didn’t finish my meal and the server was asking if she could clean up. Gave me the check while I was still eating. Restaurant was not crowded. The hospitality could be improved.Meal was ok. Not the same quality as restaurants in NYC. Ordered the steam pork. A lot chewier than what I’m usually accustomed to.

We came on a Saturday night, very busy, so we had to wait for a seat, and also it took a while to get the food, but the wait was worth it. I had pork bulgogi which was excellent, partner has the stone bibimpap, also excellent.Vegetarian options: Mostly pescatarianParking: Right in downtown. Parking always a costly hassle

Favourite Korean spot in Providence hands down! I went to RISD and over four years I must’ve been to Mokban dozens of times. My favourite dish is the spicy seafood jjampong, but they’re literally all great. If you don’t like spicy food, the duk man du is nice and hearty. If you don’t like fish, the tofu japchae is delicious and light. If you’re dining with a friend, the buddae jjigae and rice cake casserole are both so so good. The appetisers are also fantastic - I like the seafood pa jeon, the spicy wings, and the seaweed salad (my personal fave.) I would recommend getting the plum or yuzu hot tea to round off your meal. Pictured are the seafood jjampong, seafood pa jeon, and the wings.Vegetarian options: Most of the menu features meat or fish.
