This place is an absolute joke, they have more issues than they could even begin to count. First, one of the workers there was telling an angry customer that was checking in for their appointment that their reservation and booking system is completely pointless because their company overbooks them knowingly, and they have no control over that. I went in to have two new tires put on my car and this took them over 5 hours to complete! To make matters worse, they recommended an alignment to my Subaru which they didn't know how to actually do - after 5 hours I got my car back with new tires on the rear and the car pulling hard to the left. They stated they did not know why it was suddenly doing that... I do not recommend these nonprofessionals.

I brought my vehicle in to check why the wipers were not working. After 2 hours a diagnosis was given that the alternator needed replacement and the wiper motor as well, totalling $1,100.I then took my vehicle to an electrical /alternator specialist. They diagnosed the alternator to be working fine and NOT needing replacement. They were in agreement that the wiper motor needed replacing.Upselling unnecessary parts and repairs is unethical and illegal. Shame on you Pep Boys....

I came in for tire replacement for all four tires after having my front tire come off due to low air pressure/balding, and they claimed it was actually because of damage to my passenger control arm and it’s spring which would cost over $1000 to fix and said couldn’t rotate my new tires. mechanic came out and was super condescending to me, like I was a toddler. thankful I went for a second opinion at a different mechanic- guy I saw elsewhere said there was NOTHING wrong with my control arm or spring and the barring looked great (usually they’re the first to show wear). Other mechanic rotated my tires and assured me everything looked great. Just felt like these guys felt they could make easy money from me because i’m new to the area and a woman. (and not only did they try and scam me, but that means they were too lazy to just do the tire rotation since there was nothing actually wrong, which baffles me) Don’t recommend for young people or women to go to.

These guys are awesome! They put up with a ton of rude customers. I normally don't do many reviews however, I had to do this one. There was some lady who came in with her kids. I just dropped off my car for a tire light issue. This lady was yelling at them the moment she walked in. She told the tall guy with the beard that everytime she comes to this store she feels they personally attack her. Still the gentleman was very patient with her and explained everything very clearly to her. He did nothing wrong! The lady was VERY ignorant and you could easily tell. The customer continued to complain about the TV not having enough channels to entertain her children who weren't behaving. That's a parenting issue NOT the one gentlemen's issue to solve. If you decide to bring your vehicle to Pepboys, judge for yourself and not the reviews of some of these other angry people. They were very upfront with me and within the time frame that they gave me, my car was fixed properly. Thank you Pepboys!

They are understaffed which is unfortunate because the staff they have is fantastic and having a man in the office explain things to me, a woman, like a person and not an idiot was fantastic and appreciated.

I needed to get tire alignment and I had booked with Pep boys on North Main St., within an hour I received a call from a gentleman asking me to reschedule my appointment, but wouldn't tell me the reason until I asked. I was okay with rescheduling the appointment so I booked another one 2 days after. And when I walked in a half an hour before my appointment and was told I was just about to receive a call because my appointment was canceled. I thought that was very unprofessional/inconsiderate to wait until the customer arrives to tell them the appointment is canceled. Again, I tried to remain positive and scheduled another appointment for the following day with the gentleman at the front desk. I never received a confirmation email like he said I would receive. Then following day I couldn't make it to that appointment due to my work situation. And I tried to call the the site several times to cancel and no one answered the phone, or call me in regards to my missed appointment. I consider all of that bad customer service and I will never recommend anyone to Pep Boys on North Main.

Took them 4+ hours to diagnose (and tighten) a loose valve stem AFTER telling me my tire was somehow damaged beyond repair from being "driven flat" and they'd have to order a replacement because it wasn't in stock.Had the vehicle towed in (no spare) and had to physically walk down there and ask for my keys back before anyone looked at my vehicle (beyond checking if they had a replacement tire in stock) ~ followed the tech into the garage ~ pays to be a b!tch sometimes... Literally no damage to my tire. Twist of a wrench and we're off.I get that they are "short staffed" and "nobody wants to work" but learn to triage and get quick fixes out of the way, the time spent checking inventory on a replacement tire could have just as easily been spent tightening the dang valve and none of us wouldn't have lost a whole dayBig BOOOOOOOOOOOO for pep but glad one of the "boys" gave me 10 minutes of his time before I actually drove home and actually damaged the tire

I kept forgetting to book my oil change with nissan as i usually do bc Ive been so busy and my car was way past due for an oil change. I happened to have some free time and took a chance on Pep boys, was able to book appt fast, same day actually and there was even a coupon too.Gentleman at intake was pleasant and quick to get me going, oil change was done in a pretty reasonable time considering they were down a mechanic. They rotated my tires and did a free safety inspection which was an added bonus. My only issue is damn it's expensive ? I'm so used to paying about 40 so the 99 bucks was a bit of a shock (with the coupon it went down to 69) but it's the price to pay for convenience. Awesome service tho

I am surprised that this location has such low ratings - they were able to help me out and while I spent more money than I’d have liked to, it’s not their fault and they were friendly and informative along the way.The Store Manager (Tyson), is professional, friendly, accommodating, and patient. He seems to have a good relationship with the other employees in the shop, who also have positive attitudes and good customer service. The employees at the shop here are really what make me give a 5 star rating.Note that they may not have your tire in stock; call ahead of time to confirm.Pep Boys as a company should improve their online appointment system, as it seems to be some disconnect between appointments made online and what the physical location has access to.Note that this location IS under construction as they’re getting an Autozone next door.

I had a 10 am appointment and told them that I needed to pick my kid up at 215 pm. 2 hours later they hadn't even brought the car in to start the service. I was told that I would be the next car that they brought in. Waited another half hour and they still didn't bring my car in. Eventually I had to ask for my keys and left without anything being done to my car.
