It pains me to have to write this in because I love the botanical gardens so much but last few times I’ve been I always like my family and I are in the way , they seem to always be in the middle of setting up for a wedding or event, or a photographer taking pictures engagement photos. Today I overheard an employee/staff/assist to photographer? say “don’t worry, I’ll move them out of the way” as they were trying to take pictures under the arch about my son and aunt who were trying to look at the fish in the pond behind them. Like you couldn’t just wait for them to move along?!

It's a great couple of hours if your a plant or nature lover. My wife and I along with our 4 year old son spent just about an hour and a half in the winter. The green houses are the main features in the winter. We're going to come back in the summer to take in the exterior gardens. They have some play areas for children. You can pack a lunch and enjoy it inside or outside. They have snack and drink machines as well if you decide you want to hang out for a bit. All around great outings in the city.

They have a nice area where you can sit and have your own lunch. It was nice and warm in there. Something nice to do on a cold day. The plants were amazing.

I shot a wedding here this fall and it was STUNNING. This place has moved to the top of my venue list. The greenhouse is kept up year round which meant that the wedding in October was still lush and felt summery. The fountains and sculptures are all beautiful and romantic. The layout was perfect - it offered separate spaces for the ceremony and reception. The lighting inside was beautiful, even after dark. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a greenhouse wedding or to get married at a botanical garden! The experience was unmatched.

Beautiful botanical garden, great for all types of visits but especially excellent for kids and families! Play areas both indoor and outdoor for kids from 0.5 to 10. I found this location to be an ideal winter "hack" for getting together with other families for a pleasant warm picnic even when the weather is cold. Admission pricing is reasonable (kids are free!), and the memberships are a steal, you only have to go 2 or 3 times to break even.

I've had experience with this location from the original groundbreaking ceremony. It's come a long way in 20 years and is now a world-class Botanical Garden. Absolutely unique location for weddings and events. Don't miss a nighttime event if you get the chance. The tactile interactive plant area and Koi pond are always attention getters. Be warned it's pretty hot in the summer.

What a BEAUTIFUL place!! So well kept and so cared-for! Stop by for a couple hours, or you can spend the entire dayQ Include the zoo, or you can save the zoo for another day... Lots of options for visiting and they are ALL good! Today, we spent most of our time at the botanical center. Love the long history f this place and the beauty of the surroundings. And it's very inexpensive.

This Botanical Garden has some nice greenhouses where you can admire some orchids, Koi fish, tropical plants, etc...The signs for plants and flowers have increased since my last visit, but still lacking....only about 10% of the flora that I saw had any labeling regarding name, region where it comes from, etc.I feel like I am walking in a park, rather than a Botanical Garden. Sometimes they have concerts and event in here....When I compare this park to the ones in cities like St Louis, MO or Montreal QC, I can see lots of room for improvement.

A great way to spend a few hours. Pack a lunch and hang out! Great for families with small kids. They have an indoor area for toddlers and smaller kids with building blocks, foam blocks, and also an outdoor area for the kids to dig and play. It’s a great meditative place otherwise with multiple greenhouses. There are also goats - they live outside. They even offer yoga on Fridays and Saturdays.

I took my girlfriend here on a surprise date and she loved the botanical center so much that we ended up coming back the next day for another walkthrough. Each room/gallery is elegantly laid out, with something different to see in each one. They have fairy gardens and a small playground for kids, as well as tables and benches throughout all the greenhouses where you can sit down for a quick break or just to take in all the greenery. Outside, you can take a short walk to a rose maze and a goat enclosure. I’d recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet morning/afternoon!

Everyone must visit this beautiful gem we have here, right in Providence! The gardens are extensive, filled with gorgeous plants, trees, flowers. All beautifully maintained and in a lovely setting! There is even a koi pond with the biggest and most colorfully beautiful koi fish one could imagine. I highly recommend a visit to our lovely botanical gardens!

We visited on Fairy Garden Days. There was a significant change in admission ($5 to $18) due to this seasonal event. My biggest critique of the botanical garden itself was the flow between the green house and the connecting gardens as well the outside paths. The limited exit/entrance signage made it difficult to intuitively navigate around without wondering if this area ends or continues.I would like to see more educational content. Maybe a few signs that explain where we are and why these plants are here. Maybe there were there but I happened to miss them? It’s mostly plants with their common and scientific names. The flavor lab was the most interactive one, however, signage was inconsistent.Overall, the botanical garden is a cute little quick stop at the park. Worth to seeing, especially during the summer.
