Although I do not care for the current administration, there is NO better place to rebuild your life! Food, clothing, Counseling and recreation is provided at NO cost! The ARC (rehab part) is spotless. As far as getting stuff for "free" people forget it needs to be picked up, sorted, hung and priced ..Not to mention, do you have any idea how much Garbage they get?? There dump bills are astronomical because so many treat it as a dump! I can also tell you this , 90 percent on every dollar is spent on Charitable causes!! God bless the Salvation army

I haven't been to Salvation army in a long time. I can't take that musty smell & the air definitely isn't property ventilated it's awful. The stuff they get for nothing is sold for alot more than it's worth! I was just looking at the pics of the inside of the rehabilitation center where ppl live & sleep & it was a mess!

Pretty decent layout and lots of inventory. Prices seem a little better than Savers. Great spot on the East Side near the bridge and Wayland Square. The day I went it was 1/2 off day. You might luck out. Plenty of parking on street and private lot

As has been said here multiple times: be advised if you are donating furniture that they are extremely picky with what they'll take. Had a small couch in good condition that they declined due to light fading (sold it later for $80!) Unfortunately their refusal to take it put me in a bit of a bind as I was relocating for military deployment 48 hours later and had to then rent a U-Haul and find someone off the street to help me carry it down 3 flights of stairs. I'd explained this predicable to the driver (since it's at driver's discretion and the couch was in good condition) but he was unsympathetic. Probably would not donate furniture again as it was more effort than it was worth.

The prices for clothing here are ridiculous. Most items are very worn. Long sleeves were priced at $7~ and dresses were $10+. I found a Gap dress that was pilling for $12!!! That is the equivalent of the clearance rack at H&M or Nordstrom Rack. Just wanted to note that most days they close at 6PM and aren't open on Sunday. Not sure if it's permanent or just summer hours. There is street parking right outside and a parking lot across the street.

I thoroughly enjoy shopping at The Salvation Army Family stores because I know that my purchase is helping them to fund a program for homelessness and addictions. If more people understood that, then maybe they wouldn't complain so much about "prices" or "air conditioning." The stores are maintained by employees, but the people working their program are sorting through all of the donations to be placed in the stores. The Army does not bill for their services to those needing them. No insurances are billed. If a person cannot pay, they are not turned away. Understanding and being informed about the program would do everyone good in the long run. The program is funded solely by the sales in the stores.

People who shop this store are changing lives every day. Our customers are amazing! At the location The Salvation Army runs a Christian residential program. If you know someone who needs help, please have them call 1800 SA Truck and ask about the rehabilitation program,,,,or stop by Mon-Fri and speak to the intake counselor.
