Excellent collection of items in a lovely little spot. I brought my granddaughter to buy a birthday gift for her mom. We were both thrilled with the many things she could choose from. I found a number of charming things myself. There are beautiful things, whimsical things, useful things. I dare you to leave without buying something!

My 3 sisters and my mother and I walked into simple pleasures after a beautiful brunch at waterman grille. My mom started walking into the store because it is her birthday and wanted to see the jewelry. Immediately upon entering we noticed how beautiful and organized the shop is. Rather small in space with only a few costumers in shop. The merchandise was from all over the world and my family (being well traveled) noticed many heritage pieces. My oldest sister had asked the store owner if she had made the jewelry herself. The woman firmly and with very rude intention responded "what?, what are you talking about NO." Afterwards we attempted to keep light conversation about the countries the items were from. The owner and her daughter are extremely rude and disconnected. They never once looked up at us or bothered to stop texting to answer our questions. On top of it they're very uneducated on their products and extremely over priced for items you can get for bulk on Amazon. I would of purchased some jewelry from this store if the woman would actually care about selling their products. Unfortunately I will never come back here.

This is my favorite store in Providence! It’s a cozy, little gem jam-packed with tasteful gifts and curiosities. I’m a glutton for candles/incense/spa goods and cards/papergoods — so this place is right up my alley. You might recognize a brand or two but most of what you’ll find are boutique-ish or international products.

I always wanted to live this store seeing how it's in my neighborhood but it is so difficult to go in there and be faced with the owner and her daughter ( who unfortunately has turned out just like her) . They are probably the rudest women in business unless of course your a wealthy regular elitist customer. Astounding how dreadful they are but don't take my word for it . Pop in for a crepe paper hat worn in England during the 15th century on New Year's Eve for 35.00

I LOVE this store, I have never found anything like it. It is beautifully curated and features some of my favorite brands that I cannot find locally elsewhere. However, I've been a regular customer for a couple years now and the customer service has never impressed. I always feel like a nuisance. I've seen them be friendly with customers but they seem to pick and choose who they like. Just because you may have good taste in the items you stock does not give you the right to treat your clientele rudley.

Simple Pleasures is the best! You'll find the perfect gift for anyone on your list - including yourself. This is what it means to shop local - a beautiful curated shop filled with interesting, useful and beautiful gifts right here in Providence. And if you are buying a gift - the gift wrapping is absolutely gorgeous. What I love most is that I can go and find things in all price ranges for whatever occasion I need. I also think the world of Mary and her daughter Alice who own the shop and are there everyday to make whatever you're looking for a success. During the spring and summer months their garden is a wonderful place to take a moment and breathe in some fresh air. Parking is easy too. I can not more highly recommend!!
