About The VU Lounge & Speakeasy
The VU Lounge & Speakeasy is a brand new addition to Providence's vibrant scene, opening its doors in December 2025. This lounge bar and entertainment venue offers a spacious bar, inviting pub tables, and plush seating. Guests can enjoy a game of pool, play keno, and watch the big game on one of five televisions while sipping on a craft cocktail. The stage brings local and national talent from around the country, including comedians, bands and solo performers, theatre, burlesque, movie theater nights and TV watch partys.
Visitors describe a wonderful atmosphere from the moment they walk in the door, with a vibe that is perfect for unwinding after a long day. The atmosphere is cozy with a little grit, not too loud. The drinks are very well priced, and the creative cocktails are awesome. The food is way above expectations and yummy. Staff and owners are amazing, attentive, and sweet. It is a must-go place and a perfect date night spot.
