It was a beautiful day last week and I felt so good with the excellent weather I decided to go shopping. I always call ahead for availability of the specific items I need before headoling over to ANY Urban anywhere. “Urban Outfitters Thayer Street Providence, how can I help you?” “Good afternoon, how are you?” “I’m good! How are you?” “Very well I’m calling to check to see if you have Fujifilm Instax Wide 300 color film?” “Let me check, one moment.” … “Yes we should have that available as well as the disposable cameras you mentioned.” ??? (Strike one). I intended to redeem a coupon upon visiting the store so I wanted to round up my haul with some records to meet the coupon limit. I go to checkout and told the clerk I called ahead about the Fujifilm and wow! They did NOT have any available like they said on the phone! Of course I called the correct location before my visit (Strike two). Upon this discovery I cancelled my sale and began to walk away when the cashier informed me “The Urban in Allston should have the film I just checked and it says it’s available.” ??? The Allston MA location has been closed for 6+ months (Strike three). Please don’t lie to the customer!

Good store but the worker named Andra is very rude and unhelpful. Better to shop at the other stores.

Very expensive place this is. The clearance section has some reasonably priced clothes though.

Everything about this location is falling apart. The door is broken, the windows are rusting out, and the walls are riddled with damage from a decade of displays nailed to them with no replacement. Beyond that, the wares offer little besides an artificial essence of decades past. You're better off heading to an antique store or vintage shop where you can get the Real Deal instead of some mass-produced cheap nostalgia facsimile.

I mean, it's an Urban Outfitters. I like the store's layout and the sale section was plentiful. Like everything UO, prices are high for what you get, except for truly branded items (e.g., Levi's), where the prices are on par with everywhere else. I found the service to be pretty aloof, but I will say the fitting room attendant was patient with me and the person at the register made sure I saved $$$ by getting my points. I would stop in again when I'm in the area, but it didn't wow me (not that it has to, it's Urban Outfitters). I much prefer the Boston locations.

Thayer Street has changed drastically over the past decade, many stores have closed or been pushed to the West Side but somehow Urban Outfitters has remained. The store is literally frozen in time, I don't think it's ever been remodeled. it's still the mid 2000s in that store the only difference now is that 1/2 of the employees were probably also born in mid 2000s. Everything is still incredibly overpriced and all of the employees still seem just as aloof as they did 15 years ago. I got my nostalgia fix so I'll visit again in 2036.

Meh, it's not the greatest UO out there. It is however, within walking distance from where we live. Some of their items are great. However, I've found many of their items much cheaper on Amazon. The store is clean and if you find something on clearance, you'll get yourself a great deal. The staff here basically works at their own pace. Some at times have been bothered that you have a question and huff because they may have been talking to a co-worker of a friend. The store is in a good location, and when I'm grabbing something to eat on Thayer I just stop by to see if they have something unique for around the house.

Really nice stuff, but wayyyyy overpriced! The fact that you are on Thayer Street lets them charge ridiculous prices. ? not that the clothes are of better quality, nope, your just on Thayer.

Great store. Kind of lax staff. Long lines, no rush to help out get you out of there
