The RISD Woods-Gerry Gallery has wonderful high ceilings, beautiful historic interior details, and large expansive windows. The natural light just pours into the large rooms. The artists work showcased are diverse, eclectic, traditional and inspiring. The curators are spot on with their placement, collective continuity, and the balance of mediums. Visitors experience a flow from one space to another that promotes conversations about the pieces.Even when the gallery is full, visitors do not feel constricted or uncomfortable lingering at a certain peice that intrigue them.I highly recommend a trip. Openings are on Thursdays.

A beautiful old Providence mansion converted to an art gallery showcasing student work; it's a great introduction to the RISD Community.

Of course if you are at Rhode Island and visiting RISDI or Browns. This is a sweet little gallery to look at. Good art and design work shown by the students. Innovative thinking. And very clean and professional.
