Overpriced dump wouldn't stay ever again

The hotel is old, run down and charging rates as if you’re staying at a 4 star hotel- it is most definitely a 2 star hotel at best. The bathroom door nearly touches the toilet, the fire alarm goes off the minute you open the bathroom door after a shower, the rugs felt dirty and grimy, the bathtubs had dirt stuck to markings from old slip mats, the curtains were broken, there were weird marks all over the room walls, the bathroom in the lobby was broken, the pool was beyond cloudy from wrong chemical levels. If I was paying a reflective room rate for this hotel I wouldn’t complain, but charging 4 star hotel nightly rates comes with customer expectations and this place did not meet any expectations. Pros: the lobby is decorated and updated (only thing that looked nice) & the restaurant attached had quite tasty food!

Great pool but too much sand that it needs to be vacuumed daily. Room were ok. Service was good. I do not know why there is a lock on the back gate to the pool. Especially since the front gate has trouble opening for the past two days. Only one exit should be a fire code violation and dangerous in an emergency which I and another guy explained to the front desk clerk who came out to the pool area because I put a chair in front of the gate to allow people to walk in instead of pushing a four digit code it.

One night Stay. Locked out. Don’t know when maintenance will be here to open. Came from the pool soaked. 2 kids and a newborn with formula in the room. Wife with heart meds in the room. Wallet in the room. Car keys in the room. Screwdriver to try and open it. No dice. No updates. Told it was booked no other rooms, gave us another room, still no solution. Everything is still in our original room. Kids are still hungry 8pm. Was also told they are going to refund me, that never happened. Didn’t eat dinner until 10 pm. Then we asked can we just get another room because we don’t want this to happen again. They then had 4 people stick a screwdriver and a knife underneath the lock to bypass. Maintenance guy taking his time knowing that this was urgent. Overall horrible experience, the only help we had was Chrissy, she was great and no fault to her whatsoever.

The initial check in experience was pleasant. The pool was not open, there was no lounge Or restaurant open and couldn't control the temperature in the room. It was air conditioning whatever it was set to, or off,.... not happy at all. if families were to come and find the pool not open into the first week of June, That would be disappointing. The website stated there was an outdoor pool and a lounge in a restaurant?

Great Hotel in South Kingston, short drive to Narraganset and Newport. Stayed for 4 days, very quiet and big rooms with comfy beds, clean and enough big bathroom. The breakfast with a buffet of good food with cooked eggs etc. Has great staff! We’ll be back next year! Thanks also to the staff at the restaurant for cheerful service.

Not a place to stay for people of color. Went down to eat Breakfast. I was followed as if I wasn't going to pay. The Assistant Manager Jennifer Marvel was rude and made excuses for this women discrimination towards me.. Then gave me dirty looks afterwards because I complained.
Safety: Horrible racist staff. I can't help that I'm black.

We needed to make a last minute reservation for the night and I’m so glad we found this Holiday Inn! The front lobby is so nicely decorated and welcoming and the young woman at concierge was very helpful and friendly. I always check the bedsheets at hotels carefully and ours were clean as a whistle and smelled super fresh. Thank you for the comfortable stay!

I stayed here and did not like it at all. The rooms looked old, the iron wasn't working and for the peep hole - there is nothing covering it.
I'm pretty sure there is only one elevator

Older hotel, but the beds are very comfortable, and the pillows are FABULOUS. Also, the breakfast was worthy of mention. They included a real, generous cooked breakfast in the accommodation price.
