I went on line & purchased their vet card Premium program! My friend recommended me who manages the Providence location!Smithfield had an opening in Smithfield to see my dog who needed veterinary care. They were excellent from the moment I went in. Very professional, caring, and concerned for our dog! I highly recommend this vet & store!

Been going to the grooming for about 8 months now, but last week was my last time. Last 2 times I was there they done a terrible job. Only person that actually was doing a good job was Nathalie but now seems like the others don’t care .

Reception was overcrowded, few people were in control of their dogs. Gave my name and Sat on window sill. Someone came from back and told us to use benches around corner- great idea. Get a sign! Finally inside, I was reluctant to let our dog Rocky go for treatment alone but decided, ok. The vet that brought him out was wonderful. Detailed review and truly cares about her patients. His treatment made the trip worthwhile.

JK is the best! He works at the Smithfield store (02917), and he is exactly who you want out on the floor dealing with customers! I am a regular here, and he's always a refreshing face with a good attitude!

I'm highly disappointed that I had to get my appointment that I waited days for to be cancelled due my Doodles ears being too matted. Groomer did not feel comfortable or was experienced enough to give my dog a bath and cut. I suggested cutting around the ears or avoiding it but like I said previously they weren't experienced enough. I ended up going to another petco to get service. What THIS petco won't do another will. Honestly they just wanted make a referral bonus off of me by directing me to their vet. If you are a new client best believe they will send you through hurdles.

Excellent vet shop. A large assortment. Friendly workers. I really like that in the same building there is a store and a veterinary clinic, it is very convenient. I love this store. Thank you.

Petco has a good variety of animal food and treats. Prices are reasonable ?. Plus I bought two adorable Guinea Pigs from this location. They "popcorn" a lot.

Check your prices online before you go! This company literally tries to scam their customers into paying more for products in stores. I had to get my cat Vetericyn Antimicrobial Feline Facial Therapy for Cats for her chin. It says it’s about $12.99 online. In the store it rang in as almost $22! The product is 12.99 on their website, Amazon, chewy and other pet sites. When I asked the cashier why it was so much more than online she said that’s just the price. I told her that if I go online right now and order to pick up in the store it would be $12.99. Not $22. She then went on her phone to look it up and she saw that it is cheaper on their website and she changed the price to $12.99. If I hadn’t had said anything, I would’ve gotten scammed out of almost $10. I then started to notice that almost all of the other products were a lot more in-store than they were on their own website. That’s pretty horrible that they try to milk money out of their customers like that. Especially when there’s a petsmart right down the street and a new Amazon warehouse about to open as well. I will never go back to Petco again.

Worst Vetco care center experience ever. Made a reservation but no one came to examine our pet for 20+ minutes, and the receptionist said it might take another 20+ minutes since the vet is busy on helping other sick pets and they are behind schedule. It is reasonable and we could totally understand. The receptionist called us after another 20ish minutes, and when we arrived again after 10 minutes, he told us that it is too late and we have to reschedule the visit. I asked if it is possible to reschedule it to later today since we would love to see if our pet is doing okay, but he said, once again, they are behind schedule and cannot do it today, and since sneezing is not an emergency, the vet need to help other pets with emergency. What is the whole point of making an reservation at first place? If you don't have enough people to take care of your customers, don't open up the slot, call your scheduled customer to explain things instead of just letting them stand by. Go find another petco with veto care hospital, would not recommend this one.

I have brought my dog here a couple times for a bath, I feel like it's affordable and think they do a good job. Doesn't hurt he smells great for days :) All the staff seems nice but Kait took care of my dog last time, she was super sweet and made me feel comfortable leaving my dog with her! Thanks Kait!

Waited three weeks for an appt at vetco. . Because my dog has been having seizures. They called to confirm my appt morning of. Totally fine you don’t need to do confirmation calls but if there’s something you need to bring to an appt they should tell you, But they mentioned nothing to me about bringing anything to this appt. Nor did they when I booked the appt. I Went in for my appt. I Sat in the room for about 45 mins then a lady came in and told me they won’t do a blood test (that I came in for) unless they give a rabies vaccine - over vaccinate my dog! They stated they needed prof of rabies vaccination. ( I understand that. I own a grooming salon). They wouldn’t accept the two forms of prof of the vaccine I had because it wasn’t the actual rabies certificate. Maybe if they would have told me they needed it, I would have absolutely brought it because my dog is SICK. I am extremely upset with this business after waiting three weeks to get this appt to get the test done. Health isn’t something you mess around with. DISCUSSED
