I have been searching for a new hairstylist for a while now and I found her! Mallory is literal sunshine in an apron!! ☀️The whole atmosphere here made me nostalgic. If you’ve ever been to a salon with your grandmother when she was growing up and that just cozy feeling of the low murmur of women talking the way we do, truly connecting like girls girls, it’s that in the best way possible! I already made my next appointment. Even the other customers were friendly! Everyone had a smile on their face, which is a testament to the environment that they’ve created at Twirl Hair Studio. I feel genuinely relieved to have finally found a salon to call home again. Thank you again Mallory and next time maybe I’ll bring you a slice of Keylime pie 🥧 😉💇🏻♀️♥️

Excellent and professional! Owner is timely and responsive. I was scheduling a trial for makeup/hair for my daughter's wedding. I have called 5+ places. This place was by far the best and they do airbrush makeup. Don't hesitate This place is awesome. Thank you so much for the great service!

Um… I have to take issue with this latest, very upsetting review. I am not a relative, friend, or even a client, of the owner. What I am, though, is a weekly (at least!) patron of Twirl. And I have never witnessed this behavior that you describe. To me, this person embodies what it is to be a good, fair small business owner and has always shown kindness to staff and customers alike. She has an amazing staff of at least seven stylists, and the place is always bustling with activity and happy people. How many other salons in RI can list that? Not many.

Had the best experience today with Ashley at the salon. As a first-time customer, I walked in hoping she could remove the bronze tones from my hair — and she absolutely nailed it!
Ashley listened to exactly what I wanted and brought it to life. My hair came out beautiful and I’m so happy with the results. If you’re looking for someone who truly knows color and takes the time to get it right, I can’t recommend her enough.

I was in desperate need of a haircut and I called several places, but Twirl was able to fit me in the next day. The staff is amazing. I had a great conversation with the receptionist and I was very specific about what I was looking for and she delivered, by hooking me up with Stephanie who gave me probably one of the cutest cuts ever. I am very simple but I have a lot of thick wavy/ curly hair, and I have left salons in the past looking more like a poodle than anything else because some stylists don’t know how to stack thick hair in layers. I left there feeling amazing, looking good, and will definitely be back to see Stephanie. Highly recommend this cute salon!

Desperately needed to fix a very dark hair color. I got booked with Mallory, who was extremely kind and knowledgeable. Not only did she fix the color, it looks spectacular! (Oh and she did it all while keeping the length and integrity of my hair!)

Jocelyn was very collaborative and exacting which enhanced my experience. She is beyond talented. I came in with hair of three different colors with no style and she performed a miracle.
By the way, I have already booked my next appointment. I don’t want to miss out.

I debated on posting this because I was really happy with the original stylist I had been seeing but since they left a few years ago it’s been inconsistent. The last two times (saw different stylists) I got basic haircuts but I have a side part. Each time I left with my hair styled, feeling like it looked good but then the next time I straightened my hair, I realized it was longer on one side than the other; this past time it was significantly longer on one side than the other. Also, I asked for angles in the front and wasn’t asked how short I wanted it before she cut it and now the hair doesn’t stay when put up. Both times with the length, I ended up just fixing it myself because it’s not a difficult fix but just disappointing that I’m spending time and money on an enjoyable experience only to be disappointed when I style my hair differently than how they did at the salon because of a poor cut.

First let me say that this place is extremely professional. The receptionist is very nice and the salon is clean and welcoming. I went a few months ago and I meant to post this, Tiffany is the best. She did my hair great, a perfect color and cut. She wasn’t rushing me and I felt like a valued client. I just booked another appointment with her and I’m very excited to go. My hair never looked better.
