If I could give this company zero stars I would. DO NOT PICK THIS COMPANY. Today I noticed (with having an infant) I did not have any heat or hot water. Come to find out I had no propane. In the middle of winter. For three years being a loyal costumer, I have automatic payments and automatic delivery and have never missed or been late on a payment. In the three years I have also been over charged twice. But that is besides the point. So when I noticed I didnt have any propane I called customer service and spoke with Abraham... respectfully should not be in customer service. So rude. He advised they changed my account for some unknown reason and I should have received an email… Due to the inconvenience I requested a discount on this delivery he further stated there’s nothing they can do and I’ll have to pay the full delivery. Also further stated he can expedite it but will not get delivered for another 3 days. So three days with no heat or hot water.. He then went on to say I can do an emergency deliver but that has an additional fee!!!! FYI I never changed anything with my account and my card is still the same that it has been on file for three years. Amerigas did something with my account and never notified me. With no explanation or answers why my account was switched, he told me it was not there fault and there is nothing he can do. I then asked to speak with a manger or boss, to which he stated they dont do that.... Long story short me and an infant are sitting in a cold house looking up companies to switch to.

Your pricing is consistently over $1 per gallon higher than other propane providers in my area. And try as I may to give you my business, you aren’t doing anything to win me back as a customer. Three years ago you were my sole source supplier. Now I use you about once every other year.

I am trying to contact Amerigas for emergency tank service, my heat is out do to low pressure from the tanks, calling the phone numbers on the website cannot give me a confirmed date for emergency service, just that someone will contact me. emails and the form on the website are not being answered in a timely manner.Update: Received callback from the company, and have a tech scheduled to come out today to check tanks and regulators, increased rating to 2 stars, but still disappointed at the effort needed to contact and confirm a service call.Update 2: A tech came out and my problem appears to be solved, faulty regulator providing low pressure to my furnace.I will add that every person that has been to my house for service has been great. The problem is getting through the call center and in touch with the local people who can help.The tech told me there would be no charge and gave me a receipt for $0.00, as long as i don't receive a bill from corporate in the next month or so i will update my review to 3 stars. Due to the difficulties getting in contact with the right people i will not rate above average.Update 3: Back to 1 star because it will not let me rate 0. Today i received an invoice for $536.61 for a service the tech told me would be free because it was a problem with their equipment.This is equipment that i pay to rent from them.This is on top of an ongoing billing problem that i had not previously mentioned. I received an invoice for a gas delivering stating $491.45 due despite having a remaining prebuy balance of $905.35, and a credit of $128.93 from gas remaining in an tank that the company replaced. Two calls to the call centre have assured me that this would be properly credited form my prebuy but online and phone service both indicate the full balance due. I will be contacting the email addresses from the social media team since that appears to be the only way to get service from corporate.

We are not happy with the rate and requested a callback with a new rate but never received a call back. We will remove the tanks and have a new company if we do not have a new rate!

Your company provides - without exception - the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The people who man the phones offer no help - a manager who called me from Conn. to question my concern of a gas leak was so rude and dismissive, I decided at that moment, I had had enough. I would warn anyone considering your company to stay away and go local.

Your answering group is TERRIBLE. Hire people who speak English clearly. Stop trying to hire cheap. Pay Americans to answer orders, questions etc.

I can’t talk to a local representative, which irks me!Your website bothers me, I want to be able to check my bill within have no to accept some new documents that are 10 pages long before I can see the bill. The customer service people are hard to understand and therefore can’t get answers

The propane arrives and the tank is refilled. Honestly, we kind of take Amerigas and their good service for granted. So, thank you. It’s nice to have something not to worry about.

UPDATE: Changed my rating to 2 stars…they did finally resolve this issue after this review went live. While I am grateful for the resolution, the journey to get there was painful.I used Amerigas at my old house. We moved in February. In July I got a bill for $139 with no description. When I called they said it was for tank removal. I was never notified by phone mail or email that this was happening. If I had, I would have contacted the new owners to make sure they had properly set up their heating account. Now after many phone calls and conversations with conflict resolution I have a bill with tacked on late fees now totaling $247. This is completely unacceptable. I was no longer the owner of the home and even still was never notified this was happening. I absolutely refuse to pay for this. Worst customer service I think I have ever encountered.

Terrible customer service. I had a tank moved and needed it. Reconnected after the piping was done to the tank called Monday morning to schedule service. Someone was to get in touch with me haven’t heard. This use to be a decent company when I could call the local office, no more I have to talk to somebody on the West Coast sometimes in Singapore . I assume that they didn’t know Thanksgiving day is tomorrow had to change my holiday plans for a mealThis is a follow-up Amerigas did show up and hooked up the service. Thank you Luis.Today someone entered my yard unannounced and secured a unit to my tank without my knowledge or explanation. My wife was home alone and we also have a dog which fortunately was not in the backyard at the time.I called customer service no explanation. I miss the personalized contact with a local company which could tell me what is going on

Trying to pay your bill on the phone is practically impossible. You have to repeat yourself several times, even with a representative. Calls are dropped, defective automatic system that cuts you off as your inputting card info making you start the process from the beginning. I've been asking for paperless billing for three years, still waiting. Was locked out of my online account for months, requests for assistance ignored. Absolutely horrible.

Our propane delivery showed up at our home at 6:30 in the morning. The truck woke up my entire house including small children. I don’t know who decides what time a delivery is to start at a residence but whomever it was should have enough decency and common sense as to not show up at a residence that early. Forget talking to someone local with this company as their customer service is not based in the United States.
