So, it’s 2 AM and I roll up to this gas station, half awake, half running on fumes (me and the car). The auto pump was broken, so I had to stand there holding the nozzle like it was 1993, wondering if I should be getting paid hourly for this.
My friend wanted a white monster energy drink. (He got 2) I was also disappointed to learn that the men’s bathroom was “out of order” I heard there might have been a gummy snake left in the toilet?? So I did what any desperate man would do. I used the women’s bathroom. It smelt like the guy in the hoodie walking around took a massive one in there. Sorry, ladies, but nature doesn’t care about gender signs.
The highlight of the evening was when I spotted a crab-shaped pen. My buddy almost bought it for me, but then we saw the $7 price tag. SEVEN. For a pen. I don’t know what kind of crustacean markup strategy they’re running, but that crab better pay my bills and do my taxes for that price.
Meanwhile, the employee behind the counter was the most enthusiastic human being I’ve ever met about a gas station loyalty program. He spoke for five minutes straight about the perks, points, and probable immortality benefits of signing up. I felt like I was being recruited for a pyramid scheme, but with gas discounts.
All in all: 10/10 surreal experience, 4/5 stars because I’m still thinking about that crab pen.

Nice gas station. The credit card reader was a bit problematic, but it all worked out ok. It was extremely busy when I was there ( peak traffic around 4.45), which made it pretty difficult to get back out onto the road. There's some parking available and the air compressor worked fine. Gas price was a little high I thought.

I drive for Uber mainly in south county and this is one of the best located stations for me. Plus they have a hood percent off with UpSide. But it seems like everytime I come here now there are cars at every pump with frustrated drivers because the pumps say “this pump has been stopped”. Unfortunately I have to be in and out at a pump because I’m online. It’s at the point now that there inconsistencies are costing me money.
