“Gallery Belleau is an absolute gem in providence! This glass gallery is without a doubt my favorite virtue glass shop I've ever visited. The owner, Christopher, and his team are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making every visit a delight. It's clear that Christopher pours his heart into his work. If you’re in the area, don’t miss the chance to experience this stunning gallery. I can't wait to return!”
“We had my best friend's bridal shower here Sunday, and everything was perfect! The exposed brick inside went perfectly with our theme and the photos are stunning. Jackie helped me through every step of booking through the day-of and she was just wonderful. Our guests were actively thinking of events they could have here in the future!! 10/10 would book here again.”
“An excellent shop in the center of gorgeous Bristol, RI! All of the work on both floors of the shop is made by hand by local artists. Hotpoint is a source of creative inspiration for the local community and has everything from paintings and photography to clothing and jewelry, pottery and knitwear to glassware and stained glass!”

“Excellent experience!! When I talked over the phone for the first time with Bristol (owner) I knew this was the right place that I needed to go for what I was seeking.”
“Wonderful galleries featuring local artists. I really enjoy their events. They make the public feel welcome despite it being a club. Some art is reasonably priced, and more accessible than art at other galleries. The buildings are also beautiful and fun to explore.”
“Highly recommend! This place is way better than Michael’s and you’ll have a more personalized opportunity to find the right frame for your art. Staff is amazing. My frame turned out even better than I’d imagined!”
“One of the best hidden gems in RI!!! So many unique things you’d need more than one trip just to take it all in! Had fantastic conversations with Kevin. I need to come back sooner than later!”
“I had my wedding shower here and it was the perfect night. The venue is beautiful and the staff is incredible, extremely accommodating and attentive. They constantly went out of their way to check in and make sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my night.”
“I've ordered several prints of my watercolor artwork as gifts for friends and family over the years and io always does an incredible job. The paper and print quality are lovely and they have been very helpful when I've had questions. Looking forward to working with them on future projects. Thank you for doing your work so beautifully and intentionally!”
“Our recent visit to the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) was a genuinely wonderful experience, confirming our feeling that this university is truly something special. Located on the vibrant College Hill in Providence, RISD possesses a unique atmosphere, with its campus woven into the historic cityscape and benefiting from its close proximity to Brown University. This environment immediately feels conducive to creativity and learning.
It's easy to see why RISD consistently ranks among the very top art and design schools globally. The energy on campus speaks volumes about the passion and dedication of its community. We understand RISD is renowned for its rigorous programs across a wide spectrum of disciplines – from foundational arts like painting and sculpture to cutting-edge design fields like industrial design and digital media. The emphasis is clearly on intensive studio work, critical thinking, and innovative making.
Furthermore, the resources available are exceptional. The renowned RISD Museum, integrated right into the campus, offers an incredible source of inspiration and historical context. Access to specialized facilities and labs dedicated to diverse materials and technologies further underscores why RISD provides such a fertile ground for artistic development.
Based on our visit and understanding of its offerings, RISD definitely stands out as a fantastic and highly recommended option for any aspiring artist or designer seeking a challenging, immersive, and ultimately transformative education. It truly feels like a unique institution dedicated to shaping the future of art and design.”
“Incredible space for artists of all kinds! They offer wonderful workshops and the staff is spectacular. Don't forget to grab your free AS220 stickers while you're there!”
“Great shop in Portsmouth! A real hidden gem. Beautiful pottery and gorgeous alcohol based prints for sale! Literally something for everyone. Plenty of inventory and a wonderful owner artist!”
“I am the mother of a teenager with Autism. I'm writing this review for other parents who may be in a similar situation, especially those who are naturally bronze in hue(trust me, there are difficulties). My first impression of the museum was that it was peaceful and the curator made it approachable. In many instances, the people working at museums can come off as stuffy and apprehensive. Yet, this woman had a listening ear when I explained our presence. I often let people know that my daughter is on the spectrum, so that if there is a meltdown or quirky behavior, they don't falsely attribute it to class or race(trust me, people do it).
The art was beautiful and inspirational. There are various pieces created with oil, acrylic as well as watercolor, on both the first floor and the basement. We were able to vote on three of the pieces and look forward to the results.
The environment is dimly lit, and clean. There are books on art and some chairs there, but I'm not sure if it's encouraged for people to sit and read. If so, I would suggest they create a section and put in a capuccino dispenser where people can pay a dollar or two. Perhaps the money can go towards the upkeep. The displays change every few weeks or so, so there is always new art available.
In addition to this, they also offer reasonably priced courses. I remember her saying something in the ballpark of 140-150. I also remember her saying that most were adult centered courses.
I would say that it is a very autism friendly environment and hope that other artists will go and support the museum, so that we can continue to have these places available.”

“Very friendly and helpful staff. The collection of jewelry, art and ceramics here is incredible. I wanted one of everything. Picked up some jewelry and handcrafted jewelry box for my daughter and partner for the holidays. I will be back soon!”
“I have been painting at Art by You for many years. I have many beautiful platters, pitchers, and gifts I have gifted over the years. The owner is always so helpful and flexible with families with small children! I was even further impressed this past February School Vacation - prompting this review - when upon opening, her shop was filled immediately. She has around 28 seats and every table, except 2, was filled with people waiting patiently for her to get them supplies. However, the 2 empty tables were being "taken" by a rather large group that were asking questions about the paint policy. (Every person must paint.) And were loudly deciding if they wanted to stay. While this was happening, lines of smaller groups were coming in. The owner had to politely turn away three small families while this group was walking around actively whisper-insulting the owner. After about 15 minutes, a 4th family walked in. The owner informed them she was full and the new customers pointed to the two empty tables. The mother asked if she could sit there and the owner informed them that the large group was sitting there. The mother said she would wait, and one of the women in the large group heard and scoffed at the owner. The owner then had to ask the large group if they were painting. That's when the family decided to leave. It was clear the owner was frustrated and I believe she handled it very well considering the way she was being treated. The other two tables were filled immediately and many customers apologized to the owner on behalf of the large group after their departure. She has my business for as long as she is open! As a teacher, people in the industry are often mistreated. It's a shame that this mistreatment is shifted to business owners during school vacations. Please be mindful that employees are people who deserve our respect. Visit Art by You for a calming and fun crafting experience.”
“I’ve had my eye on Sue’s incredible work for a while now. I finally made the leap and acquired ‘Moira’ at her studio event last week. My partner and I are thrilled to have her work in our Pawtucket loft!
Thanks for a lovely evening, Sue. Look forward to attending more. ;)”
