Disclaimer: I am from Texas not RI, and was in RI by myself. Had to find this place on my own. So these people told me to leave them a review. I wasn’t going to because the owners son Sam is a great guy but I can’t let this stuff just pass. I drive a Porsche Panamera 2011 turbo. I took it to them because one day my car started over heating off the start up. Because my car is older the Porsche dealership in Rhode Island told me they couldn’t work on it, so I had to take it to these guys. Worst mistake of my life. They charged me 2300 dollars claiming my coolant hoses was the problem when I’m actuality it really was just a radiator cap giving me problems. 2300 Va a 354 dollar fix. I have documents proving this. Also in the process of them changing the hoses they ended up tearing a hose up (on their own!!!) and told me that they would ONLY charge me A hundred and change to fix it…hoe the heck you break some stuff on my car and turn around and charge me for it, and make it seem like that was the best course of action. I guess because I’m black and not one to act a fool In public they thought that would be ok to do to me. This was when they charged me the 2300. Fast forward I get the car back and every thing is ok until I sit idle. If I left the car sitting too long it would over heat again so I brought it back to them and they didn’t see anything wrong so i said ok and drove off. It didn’t do that again but then again the weather changed from extremely hot to fall kind of weather so maybe that played a part. Ok fast forward to a month later I’m getting problems when I’m driving like a misfire. I being it to them because again they are all I know and they tell me it’s a spark plug and cool. Ok cool. Them they tell me the car is overheating again but they found the problem…turns out it was the cap in the radiator blocking flow…so that tells me that was the problem the whole time and they just caught it…2600 dollars later. Ok so they change the spark plugs and fix the radiator and they claim to fix these things and that’s another 1700 dollars. Bringing the total amount of money they have robbed me for to 4000 plus when in all actuality it should’ve been about half of that. Ok cool…2-4 weeks later I’m getting ready to leave Rhode Island and here we go with another problem…it starts doing the weird stuff that it just did the last time whew they had to change the spark plugs and the coil. Now I call them on a Sunday and the owner says it’s nothing he can do because he’s in Tennessee until the next Monday. I say f it and get on the road to Va with the problems, stopping to let it cool down so that it can drive normal every now and then. Ok cool I finally get to Va and immediately bring it to my regular mechanic at German auto in Yorktown and that’s when I find out these people have been just playing ping pong with my dang car. Everything is messed up!! Screws are loose from the oil change!! Hoses aren’t tightened to specification!! The dang spark plugs aren’t even OE!! But they claim to be certified!! I am pissed and feeling robbed of over 4000 dollars. Sam or not that company will be getting a law suit. Believe that!

Elite was recommended to me and I couldn’t be more grateful to have a reliable friendly business to do business with. My car broke down on a Friday afternoon. I had my car towed to them not knowing them at all. They were so accommodating and fixed my car in about 2/3 hours and I got to pick it up at a very reasonable price that same day and didn’t have to rent a car for the weekend. Can’t ask for a better car service!! And friendly? ABSOLUTELY!! Thank you Elite!!Service: Electrical repair

Elite is always thorough, customer service is great here and my car always comes out of this shop clean and well cared for. This is a great family-owned and operated place of business and it shows in the way they care for their customers and vehicles. Pricing is transparent and fair and they go over all your options and let you know which things are important and which should be done soon. Always a pleasure doing business with this shop.

I always get good service at Elite Auto. My most recent visit was for an oil change. They conducted this service in a timely manner and I will use them again for whatever comes up next. My BMW is aging and Elite stays on top of whatever needs to be addressed. Definitely give them a try at servicing your car.Linda Di Carlo

First called to inquire about my Toyota Tacoma making a clunk noise when applying the brakes. Was told it was most likely that the pins holding brake pads were dry of grease and removing them, greasing them usually does the trick. So I made an appointment for that to be done and also have them check out the brakes while they were at it.I arrived at the appointment for 8 AM and was told there would be a $175 evaluation fee to look at it. I was very surprised because the phone conversation I had with a gentleman who told me he's been working on Toyotas for over 30 years never mentioned an evaluation fee. I told the young man at the desk (who was very pleasant) that I was there to have my pins greased and the brakes looked at. Nothing was mentioned about an evaluation fee. A man behind the desk in an office, which, apparently is the owner informed me that greasing the pins was a possibility. He then proceeded to say there might be something else wrong. I then asked the young man if my pins would be greased upon evaluation, and he said yes, it would be included in the price. I received a call approximately 2 to 3 hours later, informing me that I needed to replace my brake pads both rotors and both calipers along with an oil change and an air filter for a grand total of around $870. My truck has 42k miles on it and replacing the whole front end brake system seemed a lil off.I replaced the brakes with my buddy and he noted there is nothing wrong with the rotors or calipers. But there were 2 wire clips missing on the pins which combined with the thin pads was making the noise. I also had my oil changed at Valvoline with a $50 coupon and they informed me my air filter was just fine.Bottom line I spent less than $100 to fix the clunk noise and change my oil vs the $870 the wanted. If money is no object to you, then by all means take you vehicle there. They will gladly take a lot of it!

Elite Auto Repair would get 10 stars from me. I’m not from the area as I am from Virginia but came into town for a concert. After the concert I got a nail in my tire. I was able to put a spare on to make it to the hotel. The next morning I went to 3 different places before elite (as they were closer to my location) to try and get my tire fixed to get on the road to head back home to Virginia. NONE of the other shops were able to help me as they said it would take them hours to plug my tire. After explaining my situation to Elite they offered to help right away! They were super polite and professional. Not only did they drive my car right in to fix it they also put my spare tire back in the correct spot! They had me in and out in no time. I had no issues with the tire on my 10hr drive home! Thank you to the Elite staff for helping me get home! You are greatly appreciated

i took my mercedes c300 to elite for a B service which includes many things including new wiper blades and brake fluid exchange. they called me and said my car was in great shape but the technician noticed a little water in brake fluid which would be an added cost. i informed them that B service includes a brake fluid exchange in the cost of B service. when i picked up my car the brake fluid was not changed nor were the wipers replaced with new mercedes wipers which is also included in a B service. when i explained this to them about the brake fluid being included in a B service the reponse was yes it should include fluid exchange but we didnt do it. they wanted to charge me for a service that was included. also never replaced the wipers. i have taken my car to them since i bought it and i have received great service in the past. i highly recommend taking your car elsewhere as their customer service is nothing like it was in the past

Jim and the staff saved us from giving up on our car—now she runs beautifully! We for sure thought she was headed for sale but Jim painstakingly diagnosed the issue and came up with a solution only an expert could have figured out (the easy route would have been to assume we needed to replace a very costly part of the vehicle altogether). His willingness to test different approaches to work out the issue saved us from throwing in the towel and we couldn’t recommend them more. Not only are they elite in their technical skill, they continue to provide top customer service. We received detailed digital reports along the way and they even worked out loaner vehicles for us so we weren’t in a lurch. They know where the industry needs to be modernized while retaining old school class.Thank you so much for your hard work!

Thanks to Sam and the team at Elite for taking such good care of me and my BMW 760li.I discovered how complex the 760li really is after problems replacing the battery, not having it properly registered/coded for the 12 cylinder twin turbo engine.18 months ago I decided to take on a little project myself, and changed all 12 spark plugs and coils myself, without a problem.Changing the battery I thought would be easy, but no such luck. I noticed a parasitic draw which in the BMW forums mentioned the comfort access door handles tend to be the culprit.Using a coding app on my phone to program some available features, I inadvertently messed things up which now threw all random codes.I knew these error codes were not real and were all computer related. I tried to do it myself with the help of techs online in the bmw forum.I downloaded the programs for the ecu's and finally gave up after my car became a brick in my driveway.I was told by the original owner that there were only 6 of this particularly fully loaded model sold in the US that year.I was afraid to go to BMW dealership because I know I would have walked out with a new model and lots of debt as I would have been weak if I tested the latest models.I found Elite and first thing I did was review their online reviews, which were nothing but impressive!!With such a complex and unique machine I was concerned about being taken for a ride $$$$.I made the mistake once of bringing my car for what I thought was a simple oil change at a large national chain thinking how can an oil change be messed up. Well it was!My first encounter at Elite was a call to discuss my vehicle and problems, scheduling the day and time of drop off. They asked if I would need a ride which made it easier to drop off, I accepted.I arrived and noticed the lot was full of mostly high end luxury cars which made me comfortable to trust them with mine.I encountered Sam at the counter, even though he is an owner in training, he was nothing but professional without a hint of attitude. After providing Sam with details and what I wanted to accomplish, Carly, another owner in training gave me a ride home.Conversing with Carly on the ride home I knew I was in good hands with the Elite family of professionals.I was impressed with the technology Elite has embraced tech, receiving a text with link to complete & itemized review of car with items listed required and which I should be made aware of, but not immediate concern. This itself was comforting knowing I was provided a choice for my budget & not pressured to repair everything.Sam allowed me time to review and called the following day to discuss. One of the repairs wording & cost was not clear of what it would accomplish. Sam agreed, said he would like to discuss with the tech and call me back.He did, clarified the price was not just a "diagnostic" test, but would solve the ecu problems & error codes within the gateway & determine parasitic draw.I approved immediate items & discussed the decision to complete additional items in the fall without any pressure of guilt from Sam for not completing everything.I told them that I was not in a hurry as it was coming up on 4th of July.Sam contacted me that it was ready and I arranged for my sister to pick up while I had an unexpected hospital visit. When I returned home I had a completely itemized invoice like I have never seen from an auto repair facility. At first I was a little dismayed having to pay a fee to have the car diagnosed as other facilities advertise it as "free", and we all know, nothing if "free" in this world.I found it much more professional & comforting in the end to pay a fee to diagnose as it made them seem more interested in serving the client than "scamming" the customer to repair or replace as much as possible to make up for time spent diagnosing.Reviews are important in my decisions and I cannot recommend Elite any stronger!! If your vehicle needs attention, trust it to Elite!!

I had a couple good experiences before. But this time they were just dishonest.Agree with their diagnostics and approve their suggestions, or they tell you are a liar using “a Google specialist”.Take it easy!
