Hello. I came with someone a few days ago. I really like this place a lot. Ron and Cheryl are very nice. Hope to come back again. The drive from NH was worth it. Thank you for letting us work in your shop.

Gearhead Garage is absolutely awesome!
The owners are absolutely the kindest friendliest genuine people I have ever met. It’s reasonable totally worth my day. I’ve been there twice. It’s just unbelievable. I just can’t see enough about it. If you like to work on your own car, this place is absolute a DIY dream.

Was greeted by Ron as soon as I pulled up. Social and welcoming! He literally has everything you need to DIY. Veteran friendly and supportive. Highly recommend....even if its just replacing a skid plate on a Tesla. ?

This is the DIY mechanic dream, it seriously couldn’t be better. I‘m so so glad Ron, Cheryl and the rest of their incredible team have started this business 10 years ago and are still running it strong.
I am an absolute beginner when it comes to working on cars - recently bought a rust-riddled old Jeep Wrangler that hasn’t seen a lot of good care from the previous owner. As a college kid, I don’t have a garage, not even a driveway, and my landlord is already skeptical enough of this „project car“ I couldn’t do more than an oil change or simple electronics work on the street because if I ever break something critical, I wouldn’t have an option to fix it there...
The thing is, you need to be able to fail to learn. It’s part of the process I think. That’s exactly why I‘m so glad a garage like this exists that lets me try all the repairs I need to do, but at the same time there’s someone with decades of experience who can give me advice before I break off my next bolt. I‘ve learned so much already just by watching Ron help me get seized bolts unstuck and then attempting the next one myself - that’s already worth the cost and the drive from Boston.
I‘m writing this to encourage others like me some weeks ago who are limited to curbside work on their car to give it a try. Whether you’re starting out learning to work on a car or want to do some stuff that’s just too difficult without professional tools, this is your place!

I brought my S3 in to perform a downpipe swap.. Gearhead is fantastic in every way! From the facilities to the owners, everything a car enthusiast could ever ask for! Need tools? Advice? Someone to shoot the breeze with? Gearheads got it! Ron and his wife Cheryl are the best!!! Ron was knowledgeable and helpful. He would come over every now and again and see how I was making out. They made me feel like I was part of the team and had been working there for years... I highly recommend them! The price is right for any job! #Gearhead #HighlyRecommend ??

Edit: I totally missed they had a large sink!
I love, love, love this place! I came all the way from north of Boston to work my 2014 Q5 diesel to do an oil change, fuel filter, tire rotation, and front and rear brakes on a Saturday from 8AM to 4PM. It's amazing to be DIY'er used to working on jack stands now having access to a lift and work bench. I'm not an expert but I can follow instructions and improvise as needed.
Cheryl was easy to work with in setting up an appointment and Ron was easy to find when you needed help on something, especially for any air tools or cutting needed.
I struggled with some things related to New England corrosion, and ultimately, I couldn't do my rear brakes that day as I struggled with my front ones, but otherwise I got everything else done in a safe environment. I had all of the tools I needed, but also took some of my own to speed things up. Preparing and planning ahead (any specialty tools, instructions, etc) is key to making your servicing successful here. Prices are very fair for what is being offered to you!
Only complaint is that I wish there was a full bathroom open (and not just a port-a-potty) to the public. Normally, you get dirty working on a car and I needed to stop by a McDonalds just to wash myself up before driving an hour home.

I'm a driveway mechanic and Gearheads is the BEST alternative. They have all the specialized tools you may need and knowledgeable advice. And it is very affordable. I can't say enough of what a great asset Gearheads is for DIYers.

Gearhead DIY is THE place to take your vehicle or any vehicle you are working on. As a backyard/driveway mechanic having a place like Gearhead is worth every penny for getting access to a lift or specialized tools or having a mechanic with Ron’s knowledge right there. You can’t beat it. Even if you are 100 miles away, this is the place to take your vehicle to and work on it yourself. Ron is a great guy and was right there if there were any questions. The shop is excellently set up for any car or light duty truck or motorcycle. Conditioned space, any tool you could think of. I am a customer for life with them now and will tell anyone that wants to have a garage to do work, this is the place!

Absolutely love this place! My wife and I went here for the first time to work on her CR-V. Met Ron and Cheryl and they were both super helpful and nice! Ron would come by and check on us everyonce in while and was more than willing to help if we got stuck. 4 hours flew by in there, we got alot of work done and we will definitely be back. Love supporting a veteran run business!
