Absolutely do not, Do Not go here . Last year I went into the Warwick Mall H&R block to file the 3 prior years tax returns. I filed and received (6) overages so as requested I had them mailed to my personal residence in paper check form. I received 4 of the the refunds and cashed them , however now one year and 5 months later I have yet to receive my 2021/ or mayhave been 2022 refund in the AMT of approx$ 2600 . So first thing I did back in November of 2023 was called h&r conviently all locations where closed and not accepting online appointments either. So I waited to tax season now January 2024 called the store , inconveniently the person taking the call could not help me as they were taking care of there appointments. So they made me make one. I called they gave me the information , amt, year and directed me to the IRS website....I went on the site inputted the information provided then searched for it ..it then said no information was obtained or available about it and to call the number they provided me with the prompt # as well..I call that I put the prompt number specific to the return and miraculously there is no customer service human to request for customer support nor can you leave a message nor is there any customer support phone number anywhere on the the IRS site to call to track, locate, reissue this refund. And worseoff the answering machine directed me for further help to go to the website and I put the criteria related to the return . So essentially the website prompts you to call , and when you call it prompts you to research it on the website. And no live chat, or human agent or even an email on it's for customer support is even provided. So after calling back h&r block again and explaining all this I had them inquire about it , they got back to me and said the refund was sent to a third party metabase or something like that. So I requested to simply check the status of it and reissue it. They said I'm sorry we don't have the means to do that and that I had to call this meta.... company , underwhelmed I requested the phone number to this metabank or card company and they say sorry we don't have that for you,I was like so the third party that every client receives a refund from is from this third party card company company how is it that yiu dont have a main business relationship with the most important part about filing income tax in the first place. And even if you don't work hand I. Hand in verifying funds, or outstanding refunds, or validating funds/ card transfer acct info at least for geez sakes have a company phone number that I now as a clueless customer has to Google search, find, and reiterate this entire situation is a little ridiculous. So now googling this company it's said to have merged with another company and I can't pinpoint an exact number or even when searching meta... Card services and h&Block still no clear customer service number is achievable nor is anyone now (2) different people at the office able to validate, help, reissue, or get me to talk to the person that's been holding my $2600 for the last year in a half. Mind you the answer to how my service was after those to calls what beyond deplorable, nor empathetic, or showed anything follow up with me at all they said they can't help and cut me lose to fend for myself because I'm sure there to worried and concentrated on there next appointment. And by the way No saving $25 in my email to go towards my next filling years returns services fees will Not be of pathetic value to me because I will go back to LibertyCustomer M. Heuser

We have been filing our taxes with H.R. Block with you guys for 6 years now and the service has always been fantastic. This past Sunday l, we started filing with Pamela Ares and she was great and knowledgeable with the service. But we were missing 1 W2 so we put it on hold until we got it. When we made a followup appt to finish up, Pam wasn't available so Tina O Reiley finished up for up. But during the transaction, she forgot to apply for our advance like we do every year and she also said that this year, we can only do direct deposit or emerald card for our refund which I found out from Gail that it wasn't the case. When we found out she messed up on that, we were highly upset and wanted her manager Nancy to pull it back and reset it but she never did. We had to go to a different branch for Gail to try to pull it back but unfortunately IRS had already accepted it so now we are stuck trying to figure out our bills. Gail reached out to Nancy to give us a refund on the filing fee but Nancy still hasn't reached out to us and it's been a week. We are highly upset with the Warwick Mall branch for a senior tax preparer to mess up this badly on our taxes. If someone can reach out to me l, it would be great because we've been with you for 6 years now

Went in November 8th, 2023 for my Emerald Advance appointment and was met with a terrible employee who refused to complete my scheduled appointment. She told me she won't accept my proof of income and that she will only take bank statements from me because I work Instacart. Then when I handed her the bank statements, she refused to take them and told me I need to leave. WORST H&R BLOCK EVER IN HISTORY!

So unprofessional. I have used H and R Block for years and have never had such a horrible expierence! I am still trying to figure out if they have even filled my taxes yet and it's been almost 4 months of nonsense now... Will not be going here in the future! Can't get anyone on the phone... Nobody answering customer support either.

The absolute chaos I have gone through this company. They messed up my first return, and we’re extremely rude when I pointed it out. Every time I call they continue to be severely rude- this time around the lady would not let me talk & when I asked for her first name she REFUSED to give it to me. SAVE YOUR MONEY- use turbo tax.

Do not use this location and based off this experience with reaching out to several locations, being told I'm lying, getting laughed at, hung up on and berated, I'm starting to think it may be a mistake to use them at all.Ken was the first person to handle our information . Very quickly it became apparent that Ken either lost the folder of paperwork we handed to him or he's that incompetent and shouldn't be handling anyone's taxes. Gabby was the second person to touch it and she had to file 3 times to get them to accept the return. Got a call saying our taxes were done and to come get the transcripts to mail to the IRS. Picked up paperwork and mailed only to find out that that returned was rejected. After weeks of back and forth we went back to the office in Warwick mall and asked for the most senior person (because we were told that branch has no management) enters Lois, the self proclaimed manager of that office. She give us her word, to trust her and that she will get this handled. Lois is a cancer to your organization, she's unprofessional, abrasive and insulting. On top of that she's a liar. Told me all our paperwork was stored in a locked file cabinet at a separate location. She assured us that our paperwork was safe.Here we are, end of June and nothing has been filed. No state, no federal no nothing. They took $600 and now are refusing to give us our paperwork and our money back. I've contacted corporate 22 times and have several open tickets and haven't gotten one call back. So now we're talking with the attorney general and the IRS and need another cpa to file for us but don't have our paperwork to do so. So we have to track all that info down now.We even reached out Sandra mattia who is the district manager and has been with the company for 40 years. Still no help, you'd think someone that's been with the company that long and has the title of DM would want to know that a location has taken payment and done nothing. Ken, gabby and Lois shouldn't be doing people's taxes. It's too important and they're literally playing with peoples lives.Sandra I'm really disappointed in the fact that I had to search for your contact info. Not one location would give me an email or anything. Your LinkedIn messages are blocked unless I want to pay to send you a message. I had to beg and plead with corporate to get a number for you and you haven't returned any calls. That brings me to my other point, I called 3 separate branches and was met with sarcasm, laughter and told I was lying. Specifically your Pawtucket location. Whoever the mush mouth is that talks with a bag of marshmallows in his mouth at the Pawtucket office is a real winnerAG,BBB, local news and my attorney all responded faster than you. Someone with a GM role should do better.Update: finally after a full day of chasing down Lois we were given a time to come in and get our paperwork. The five folders as well as all the documents were nowhere to be seen. She handed my wife a stapled packet of papers printed off the computer with the information WE uploaded to their portal. So our W2s, bank statements, receipts, medical bills and every other thing that had our personal information, social security numbers, addresses etc is floating around because of H&R Block's incompetence and lackadaisical staff.

Richard Palumbo is the worst, I never got my taxes it's a absolute nightmare reaching him or having a direct answer what a stain on the brand to have him as an advisor. Please beware do not utilize him or the company they're going down fast.

I called numerous times this morning Kindly and courteously requesting to speak with a manager or to have corporate's phone number given to me as I was having difficulty understanding the representative per language barrier as I can guessing they do not teach their employees to speak proper American English before hiring for hiring. I was hung up on not once not twice but yes 4 times in a matter of 20 minutes and I was also laughed at . This has got to be some kind of joke right?
