He helped me build a cocktail party outfit from scratch and gave me the time and attention that is practically nonexistent at most department stores these days. I really appreciated his assistance. Not enough staff on the Monday morning I was there. There was no one at the customer service to take my return items. There is a good selection of dresses but no one in the dress dept to help out. Many women there looking for wedding attire and there was a line out the door at the 2-room dressing room. I found another dressing room (empty, in the men's department), and directed customers to it while I was waiting for my daughter to try on prom dresses. Where was the staff to do this?!! There were elderly women there waiting with canes! Suggestions: Provide a bench there for elderly to wait, put up a large sign with the location of other dressing rooms, hire more dress dept staff during wedding and prom season, or at least direct staff to watch for lines forming so they can redirect customers. And why does the women's dress area have such a tiny dressing room, and the men's area have a giant one? Maybe rearrange the store? By the way, why are there so many reviews about great customer service in the men's department, when there is no one helping women customers?!

I went to Macy’s to make a jewelry return. It was a busy Saturday so my fiance and I waited for someone to become available. They have 3 jewelry sections and one employee per. Sales rep Rebecca noticed we were waiting and quickly came over to help us. She was so friendly.
As we were leaving, I noticed some earrings and necklace I just couldn’t leave without. My fiance went to get Rebecca again to assist us but she was already taking care of another shopper. We patiently waited and she came over to us when done. As we were getting ready to checkout, A customer walked over to Rebecca and began saying how she was waiting and no one came to help her. That Rebecca was purposely ignoring her. She then told her she only did it because she was of a different race. I honestly felt awful for Rebecca because not only was she trying to help anyone present, we were also of another race and she was nothing but kind to us. Despite the distasteful situation, Rebecca remained calm and made my return/shopping experience very enjoyable. Thank you for displaying an admirable level of professionalism!
