I went to Plato’s to give my old clothing to see what I could get for it but I had to leave the bag of clothing there because the line was so long and they told me to come back up to get my money and when they texted me it was ready they left no price so I called about how much they would give me for it and they told me that they can’t tell me the price unless I went back up to the store if I new this before I would have donated my clothing to people who need it.DONT GO THERE!!!!!

I brought a tub of clothes in, they explained the check in and texts process of picking up, by the time I walked to my car and drove down the road a bit they text me to come pick it up. I thought that was quite fast.I went to pick up my tub, the individual at the counter said the styles were old. That’s fine. But they also said “you have skinny jeans and we are not looking for that.” I did not have one pair of pants in the tub. The majority of it was folded how I put it in there and dropped it off. I’m not sure what they did and or if they looked through it.

Brought a bag full of clothes, probably 13 tops & 5 bottoms. They only took 2 tops & a skirt for only $9 and some changed total. I've bought tops for $8 a piece..I don't understand how jeans aren't "in style" when they have racks just of all types of them. No wear & tear on my brand new tops, when the store has clothes with stains on them..

I have Been coming to Plato’s closet since my mid 20s . The environment is always full of positivity. The stock is always circulating. New clothes, used clothes . No matter what you need Plato’s closet has it . When your done spoiling yourself with these cheap prices , head over to once upon a child , and scoop your children , nieces , nephews , siblings , some quality clothing at cheap prices . These two stores are definitely recommended if you frequent warwick and need some threads !

Great selection, extremely organized, and some solid music. If you’re looking to buy, this store is popping so you might want to get here before they open. But still managed to walk out with some truly great items.Pricing varies. Higher end items are actually affordable but brands like Forever 21, you’re probably better off buying online/in store.Staff were unparalleled!!! Friendly, helpful, and well informed! Adrianna and Keira made my first trip to this location absolutely amazing, will definitely be back!

I was told it would be a two hour wait at most to sell my clothes. After almost 4 and a half hours they only offered $10.87 and told me to bring everything back in the summer becuase it’s mainly summer clothes. I had to call three times to even get an update. What a joke

I came two days in row to drop off my clothes. it wasn't until the second day that they told me I had to be there before they open In the morning. I came today 45 minutes before opening and was able to give them two bags of quality closes, some with tags on them. They texted me later In the day and told me to come in. I went back and they chose two items of clothing that were last season and said we can give you 9 dollars. I asked why they couldn't use the other items and they said they are not in season which they are. They also said we only buy teens clothes that are out in the malls now. I had young adult clothes that are up to date in my bag. There was not one teen shopping In the store only middle aged women. Also many of the clothes were for middle aged or young adult women. I would rather donate my clothes for free then go back there ever. Very insulting.

Eh? This is a long overdue review. Let's get into it. Plato's is in a shopping plaza area so parking isn't an issue, it's next to Tesla and a pet store. No problem. So I'm going to touch on selling and buying from here because it's two different experiences. Let's start with selling. So the best time to go is Monday, that's when they have the most money to start the week off fresh. The store opens at 10am but I'm warning you now, be there at least 30-45mins before open because there's always people outside waiting. Why is that? Because they only accept so much stuff to look through before they put a sign on the door saying they're no longer accepting items to buy for the day. You've been warned at least 30 minutes before open, people are lined up with bags ready to go. Alright, so 2 bags max I believe to sell. They say they buy for the next season and only name brand stuff. So you would think stuff like Nike, north face, ugg and etc would be of high value here but I notice they just primarily want Fashion Nova and Shein stuff. That's what I noticed is what they sell. Okay back to selling items. Most of the people I know bring stuff with tags and great items and nobody has made over 100.00 YET. Mind you I know people who have some luxury stuff. OH, and if your items are too luxurious they won't buy because they know they can't offer enough to make it with your wile. I've sold about 4 times here and the most I've made was 80.00 and even then I was a fool. They will text you when your stuff is done, and then when you get there out of your 2 bags they will take 3 things and offer you like 15.00. But bring the same stuff back another time and they will buy a few more things. It really just depends who's sorting that day, it makes no sense to me. Phew this is getting long, let's move it along. Long story short, you won't make a lot of money, just bring items here that you will sell for 1-2.00 or were going to donate anyways. For sure not going to make anything decent from your clothing no matter how high end it is. The stuff they sell, is a hit or miss. It's mostly fashion nova stuff or tons of clearance highly worn stuff. When they have events like 90% off clearance it's worth it otherwise I don't think of coming here to shop. Some of the workers are sweet but others just look miserable. Plan on it being an all day thing to get your stuff back when selling. Hope I covered everything.

Stops processing buys at a certain time which seems to be completely discretionary by the looks of a hand written sign on the door. Make it a policy so people know what to expect. Very disappointing.

I came to the store yesterday evening and they said they weren’t taking anymore clothes. I told them that I drove 45 minutes just to sell my clothes. The lady told me to come back the next morning, so I came back this morning just an hour after they opened. They were ALREADY done taking clothes for the day. The lady (different from the day before) wouldn’t even let us into the store. She was awful towards us and yelled at us. Not all Plato’s Closets are like this! I went to one while I was at school in Virginia and it was EXTREMELY easy to sell my clothes. The Plato’s Closet in Warwick is chaotic and has HORRIBLE customer service!

Great place to shop for cute and trendy clothes for a good price, however If you are trying to sell your clothes to them expect to be waiting a VERY long time. I tried multiple times to bring my clothes and was told they stopped taking clothes and to come between 9:30am-10:00am. I woke up early and drove the 25-30 minutes to the store and got there right at 10:00am and there was already a huge line of about 50 people waiting. By 10:05 they were already denying people at the door of coming in to drop clothes off. By the time I got to the register to give them my clothes it was 10:45 and the girl told me the text system was not working so I would not be notified when my clothes would be ready but to check back in and it could take up to 9 hours for my clothes to even be sorted through. I should of took my bags back at that point but I thought there is no way it would take that long and I didn't want to have to drive back home and then make the drive back to Warwick so I went to a bunch of stores nearby to kill the time. I checked back in around 6 and the girl said probably 1-2hrs it would be done. At that point it has already been like 7 hours and I was ready to go home!! I left and got dinner and came back around 7:30 and checked in again and was told it would be like another hour so I decided to just take my bags and go home. So if you are planning on selling with them make sure you get there super early so your clothes are done earlier if not you will probably be waiting until almost close.
