Have had quite a few cats spayed and neutered through their clinics. ALWAYS a positive experience. Great group of volunteers and a fantastic veterinarian. Scruffy Paws is a Godsend for holding spay and neuter clinics for cats in need.

Absolutely amazing friendly staff! They listened to me babble on and then when I had forgotten to ask about getting my cat chipped earlier in the day the vet took him back and did it when I picked up she didn’t need to do that but they informed me he escaped his crate when I dropped him off SOOO it was definitely needed (he’s a turd) but he came home with pain meds and those 2 days were just enough his incision looks great he was eating and drinking that day they did an amazing job with him and I would absolutely use them again &; I recommend them to everyone now. Just the staff alone made that process beyond easy and stress free thank you scruffy paws :)!

A lifesaver for cats and their humans! I can't say enough good things about Scruffy Paws! Their affordable spay and neuter services are a true gift to the community, benefiting both owned and community cats alike. The staff are compassionate, knowledgeable, and incredibly committed to helping as many cats as possible by making responsible cat care accessible. In doing so they help to keep cats healthy and reduce overpopulation which is so incredibly important. Decided to write a new review now that we completed the process of adopting another cat.
About us for context: my husband and I are in our mid 30s, own our home, keep our current cat indoor, don't declaw, have vet references and non family member references, make over mid 6 figures, and our current cat is up to date on all vaccines. My husband has experience owning 8 cats in the past and I used to foster kittens. We currently own one three year old cat who loves other cats.
Due to our current cat loving other cats, we decided to find her a non foster cat. This is the first place we applied to and the only place we applied to for the first month and a half as we wanted to wait to hear back and not over apply places. After about a month they reached out and asked if we were still interested. We were psyched but unfortunately never heard back after that. We had applied for the particular cat because the profile said it needed a home with another friendly cat in it and it really seemed like a possible fit for our family.
However there are plenty of wonderful adoption agencies it turns out in Providence and RI. We visited animals in the providence animal rescue league, the Exeter animal shelter, providence animal control and RISPCA. I was especially happy with the communication from Providence animal control. In the end we fell in love with a kitten from RISPCA. The communication and process was easy and straight forward. For both Providence animal control and the RISPCA, you fill out an application and if you're approved, they call you and set up a meeting for you to meet cats and them to help you find the right fit.
I hope this review will help someone who is disappointed in places with lack of communication. Check out animal controls and places where the cats really need home. Providence animal control in particular currently has a lot of friendly adult cats. My husband and I wish we could have taken more home! The stories of the cats they found and helped with injuries in particular touched our hearts. The staff at both the Providence animal control and RISPCA were friendly and really invested in trying to find cats the right home while still being kind to the people adopting which I think is important.
I highly recommend checking Providence animal control and RISPCA out! Picture attached of our new baby.

I can't say enough great things about Scruffy Paws! Their team has always been kind, professional, and incredibly dedicated to the well-being of cats. Interactions with them are always smooth and straightforward.
The staff really cares about each animal and works hard to achieve the best possible outcomes. I appreciate their dedication to serving their mission. The facility is clean, welcoming, and clearly designed with the comfort of the animals in mind.

We had a wonderful experience adopting our beautiful calico long haired kitty from Scruffy Paws. Everyone was great at Scruffy Paws accommodating our needs. They even did a dog walk through to see which cats were not bothered by dogs. I found their bios on their website to be very comprehensive and super helpful. We went in three times for meet and greets just to make sure we were choosing the right kitty for our home and we were very impressed by the love and concern that the staff have for all the cats. We love our new kitty Ellie Rosie (Posie) and she is very happy in our home. Please support this wonderful shelter.

We're so happy with our kitties. Scruffy Paws does great job describing their available cats' personalities, needs, and compatibility (or lack thereof) with other cats/pets/small children to ensure a successful placement. Our interviewer and foster mom were both very kind and helpful. We had a great experience.

Scruffy paws is great to work with. They picked up a stray cat in my area that I was feeding and have kept me updated as far as what’s going on with the cat. I am a huge animal lover, so I was very pleased to have worked with amazing people who kept me informed about the stray kitty I was so worried about. I look forward to seeing her get adopted soon!

The discounted spay/neuter services that they offer are a HUGE help for pet owners. Very easy process, very courteous and professional.
