I stopped into Walmart at the RI Mall in Warwick, RI last minute to grab a few things… 30–40 items and nearly $400 later, I ended up at the only open register with Russell—an absolute gentleman and true gem.
I work with the public across RI as a Realtor so I get how tough overwhelming customer service can be. Tonight, I was *that* customer: unprepared and, honestly, almost disrespectfully in line with no wallet, planning to use Walmart Pay… with a partially dead phone.
Russell rang everything up and stayed calm and professional even when my phone died while scanning the QR code .
I had to leave, charge my phone, and return yet he welcomed us back, helped with the QR code, and never made us feel like a bother—even though I totally was.
Russell, thank you for your kindness and grace. You turned an awkward moment into a reminder of what real customer service looks like.

So you put machines in your store that takes ones and change but the miserable old lady at the service desk won't make change so where do you suggest I get said change it should be called the helpless desk

This walmart is a clutter show. There is no space for anything or anyone. It's like downtownn traffic jam but with people and carts. With my kids there, side by side at self check out employees and shoppers are yelling at each other, but nobody seems to do anything! Lasted some time, and I'm unsure of what happened or when it ended because I had finished collecting my things and went about my business. Now, the store has some major changes and looks super neat compared to what it was. But whoever is managing or securing the area needs to be more alert on this kind of stuff.

Went to this Location on 07/01/2024 went to electronics to purchase a TV. Waited almost 15 minutes. The gentleman was helping in another customer waited for him to come back after helping her load her TV in her car. Ask me what I wanted told him a TV he said. Is anyone else here not for a TV? All the customers said yes, and the gentleman said. I have to wait. He's gonna take care of them first. I said, but I was next well. They're easier he said so I left and went to another competitor to purchase my television very poor customer service.
