It was at a moment of grief that I have come to know and like this place.First, my beagle and then my cat.Dr. Proulx is such an empath--my husband and I really felt her genuine concern and I felt free to shed a ton of tears in front of her. Not my best day, obviously, but that is the point; she made these moments unembarrassing with her tone and demeanor.I could see why this place is favored.

Been taking my dogs here for two years. No complaints. Always great service and never trying to up charge me for things we don't need. Definitely recommend. It's also super helpful that they send emails of when my dogs are due for their shots or else I would struggle to keep track on my own.

This is the worst clinic in RI. The fees are too high and the staff uncaring. I was “fired” as a client after they misdiagnosed and undertreated my cat for worms. After years of going there for service they refused treatment to my dying cat.

I first met dr. Gelsimino during an emergency when I had to say goodbye to my cat of 19.5 years (chewy). Soon after we said our goodbyes I received a hand written blank card with both sides filled of condolences and support for our loss. Before we even received the card we had decided she would be our vet. We got a puppy (Rudy) in 2021 and I have communicated with her over the phone over the past few years… FINALLY rudy and I got to make an in person visit. Kaitlin is THE BEST! She got right onto the floor with my dog and hugged him while listening to his heart beat. It was a wonderful experience. She’s really one of the best. We are lucky we have her taking care of our animals. If you’re looking for a loving compassionate vet… she’s the one!

I had my first visit to this Veterinary Practice with my cat Arlo yesterday. I was so happy to find that everyone from the receptionist to the Technician to the vet herself, made me feel welcome and comfortable. I could not have been more pleased with the care Arlo received, particularly from Dr. Young. Not only was she thorough and gentle with him, but reassured me about a kitten behavior that I want to alleviate. She took the time to give me lots of tips to deal with the behavior as well as showing me how to swaddle him so that I can trim his claws myself. I highly recommend this caring practice.

Have taken my dogs to them for years and absolutely above and beyond service. They really care about their patients and do the best they can every step of the way. Really appreciative of this after experiencing other clinics which were okay, but not exceptional like West Shore Animal Clinic is.

Since living in Warwick these last 21 years, I’ve always brought my pets to West Shore animal clinic.I’ve never had an issue with anyone there. From the receptionist the techs and doctors they have always been polite kind compassionate and respectful. Sent me cards when I lost my pets. That’s until todayGigi was limping on and off, the soonest I could get in was today it was a week away but I took it. I had a 240 appointment I left work got Gigi and went right there. Unfortunately there was construction on buttonwoods Avenue And a ton of traffic on W. Shore Rd. as the schools were just getting out. I parked my car in the lot at 2:46 and called to let them know I was here. The person who answered the phone said rudely your appointment was at 2:40 I said yes I know. She said to me well I’ll see if we can accommodate you you’re 10 minutes late. After putting my me on hold she said we can do a “curbside” visit with the doctor. Five minutes later a Doctor Who I’ve never met came outside. I told her I was upset as I was only a few minutes late and 99% of the time I am left waiting 10 15 20 minutes anyway. Seriously when do they not make you wait???She argued with me and said I was ten minutes late. She asked me in a very condescending way “well you’re in healthcare what do you do when your clients are late? Don’t you appreciate a phone call? I just left the hospital so I was still in my scrubs. I said Clients are late all the time life happens. I never met this vet before and I hope to never see her again. Long story short I left and I will never go back there. This is how you treat somebody who’s been bringing their pets there for years? It’s not like I missed appointments Or was habitually late for appointmentGigi was not seen So now I’m looking for recommendations for a new vet!!
