While they had a wide array of reptiles, it was very cramped for the animals. They had blue tongue skinks in very small tanks. There were tegus also in far too small tanks. Too many lizards per tank. The feeder rats and roaches were kept in sub-par conditions as well. The guy that was there told me they stomp on the feeder rats to kill them if we want them frozen. I understand the feeders are just going to die anyways, but there are more humane ways to keep them and kill them. Even though it might have been a poorly delivered joke, he didn't really seem like he was joking. Same with the roaches, there's better ways to keep them. I don't want a sick rat or roach for my reptiles to feed on.

You can tell 401 really cares about there reptiles. They provided so much education and really create artistic and well maintained enclosures for what to them is family. They have a great selection would highly recommend and will be the only place I go for reptile and feeders moving forward.

We are so happy with our experience at 401 Reptiles. After having the pleasure of being at a few of their reptile shows, we decided it would be the best place to go for our first pet. It was all new to us, and they took the time to give us all the information and answer our questions (Lots of questions from my little ones and they answered every single one and were so kind) The best part was that we are able to leave with an awesome tank set up and just plug it in when we got home. My kiddos picked out a beautiful leopard gecko, and they are so excited. We would 100% go back here for any of our reptiles needs. A sincere Thank you!

I’ve never experienced such disgusting behavior from staff in my life. The workers at this place were beyond rude and completely unprofessional. I was standing right there, not even three feet away, while they loudly trashed my appearance like I wasn’t even a human being. Absolutely vile. One woman in particular was unbelievably disrespectful and nasty, and the rest of the staff couldn’t be bothered to help with even the simplest questions. The level of ignorance, cruelty, and lack of basic decency here is appalling. Do better.

I inherited a leopard gecko and I stopped at 401 Reptiles today seeking some expert health advice about him. They were so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful and steered me in the right direction. I would recommend them to anyone who has a reptile or is looking to get one. Good people who truly care for these animals.

Does not honor posted hours. States open Saturdays at 11am. I arrived at 10:45, waited, at 11:20am I had watched 2 customers come and go, and watched a line of "walk in" customers amass outside the shop door.. maybe they knew opening late was common practice for this place? Either way, quickly realized that this last minute, flash mob opening (if ever opened) would not be a suitable atmosphere for my wife and kid to browse and select a pet for an enclosure we got.
From the look threw the windows, the store seemed "cramped".. I also typically feed my animals in the morning.. knowing their was no staff there all morning, and knowing a line of customers waited whoever planned on opening, makes me worry IF and when these animals are fed, as there seems to be no set schedule. Will not return, even if offered a free pet.
