The Arctic Playhouse is a non-profit neighborhood theater founded in 2014 and led by volunteers. It is located at 1249 Main Street in West Warwick, having been transformed from an old department store into a beautiful, functional 90-seat venue. It offers affordable ticket prices and engages the community through open auditions and by providing a venue for local artists. The atmosphere is great, with a wonderful vibe in the entire building where people are friendly and you feel like you are in your own home. The staff and volunteers are wonderful, simply the best, and very friendly. They provide popcorn and warm cookies at each performance. The plays are enjoyable, great, funny, and spectacular, creating wonderful memories. The venue is a beautiful hidden gem that makes live theatre accessible. It has brought thousands of people to West Warwick, selling 10,000 tickets in 2023 alone.
