I needed a one-way rental from DC to Pawcatuck CT & only Hertz offered that service.
The Westerly drop off location was only 6 miles from us but GPS got confused and I ended up driving in a rural neighborhood before I was finally pointed in the right direction.
The pre-pay EZPass option at $20.99 is a good deal when driving up the east coast and going through all those toll booths.

Reserved a car a week ago. The car wasn’t there. The agent was less than helpful for our situation. We wound up using Expedia for a cheaper and friendlier solution. It’s a shame when you try to support the local guys but can’t.

This Hertz location rental experience was exceptional. We loved our car, which was clean and readily available on our arrival. Patty was super friendly, went above and beyond to assist us with additional transportation needs and also offered restaurant suggestions in the area, which was all so helpful. I would highly recommend this rental location and would definitely use them again.

I booked a reservation online, and they did not honor my reservation due to lack of cars. Instead of helping me find another car in the area, the manager shirked her duty and told me to call HERTZ support.
I told her I’d rather go to her facility and that we could call Hertz together, but she adamantly told me not to near the facility or she would call the COPS. As a person from a minority background, I find that language extremely problematic, offensive, and sad.
This is one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
