Called Bob on a Tuesday for a blower (heater) repair. He took a guess at what it might be and told me to bring it in Wednesday. I got there around 8:30 am, he pulled it in to the shop, took a look, called the parts store and said it'd be done in a half hour. I did a double take! What?!? When was the last time *that* happened? I walked across the street for a coffee, the parts guy was just leaving? What? Instant delivery too? Bob took the new part in, (some sort of circuit) started the car and BOOM! HEAT! He charged me $60 when I am sure less reputable places would have doubled that easily! Thank God for Bob at KARS Auto!

Bob was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to do what I needed. He was friendly, thorough and very knowledgeable. His price was reasonable as well. I'm glad I found him. In fact one of his customers came in and said he was 'the car whisperer.' I now have a new service stop for my car. Thank you Bob!

We like KARS and have recommended Bob to family too. Great mechanic with very fair pricing. Another mechanic wanted $150.00 just to look at a problem with front seat motor switch. Bob took care of it by manipulating the switch. When I asked him the charge. He said it was free as a courtesy. Have been going to him ever since.

Finally used this guy after driving past his place for over 20 years and hearing good things. He's straight forward and honest. I know cars well but don't have time or space to fix them. He does. His prices are reasonable and his skill level is impressive. He even put a minuscule nick in my paint, changing out a mirror, one that you can't even see, and he offered to fix it on his dime. Only going to him now. Be aware, you will have to make an appointment a few days out.

Bob is the owner of Kars Automotive. He was referred to us by a friend who grew up in Westerly. In short, Bob is the only mechanic I have ever completely trusted. He is fantastic. He's honest. He will give you the truth and his opinion every single time. When I first went to him, I had a 2004 Tahoe that I had purchased with 60,000 miles on it for $4000. Bob's first suggestion was that I drive it down to the boat-ramp next to his place, put it in neutral and let it go. Boy was he right. Many thousands of dolllard later, I finally listened and before I bought my next car, I phoned Bob and asked him what he thought. He said, "Now you're cooking." He's brilliant on any car, any model, any. make. Loves foreign cars, well a lot of them....especially performance ones (Porsche). Prices are great and he has become a good friend. BTW, we moved to Florida and I called him on Monday about a problem I was having with my current car....and I got the straight, unvarnished truth. Go to Bob, but don't b**** about price!!

They deal with foreign cars here. They got my wife's mercedes in right away, but took a few days just to change out a rear window motor. The price was worth it, though.

My husband and I have used Kars for 25 years and thru the purchase of 4 cars! Bobbie has been so reliable and helpful throughout! Can't say enough good about how good a mechanic he is!
