Best inn / BNB in the Westerly area. Top tier service, great people and the rooms are hard to beat. Will be back.

The margin Street Inn is the greatest place to stay in Westerly, RI and I can’t imagine many other places in the state rivaling it. Sarah and Chris are amazing hosts and do every thing possible to make your stay fantastic. Margin Street Inn is so cozy and welcoming, i would be happy puttering around the house and grounds all day. Of course I’d leave to have lunch and dinner at one of the many quality restaurants in downtown Westerly, all within a mile of the MSI. Drive or Uber to Watch Hill and take in the beach, peruse the shops on Bay Rd and have an expensive lunch at Ocean House. Return to MSI and sit in the Sun room to enjoy wine, beer, and a cheese and charcuterie spread around 5 pm meeting the other guests all of whom will have plenty of entertaining stories to share. Come night’s end, the house will be quiet, the rooms dark and you’ll sleep like a baby on the incredibly comfortable beds and pillows provided in every room. Sweet dreams!

The margin street inn is a true escape minutes from the watch hill beaches! The owners Sarah and Chris go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Sarah even made us our very own vegetarian frittata every morning. The details of the inn are very special from the fresh flowers everywhere, to the afternoon wine and cheese and don’t forget the most mouth watering chocolate chip cookies! The grounds are peaceful and we can’t wait to come back

In October 2024 , we enjoyed our stay in Rhode Island at the Margin’s Inn, on the Pawcatuck River near Downtown Westerly. The historic buildings and property were beautifully maintained and walking by the river in the morning to the Shipyard nearby was both relaxing and romantic as boats of all sizes floated by. Their ten guest rooms maintained the beautiful original woodwork and accentuated the architecture and views of the river. The common rooms were spacious and beautifully restored and decorated with comfortable furniture, as well as paintings and photographs by local artists. We had breakfast in the Perry house, which was built in 1849, originally in the Greek Revival style, and is the oldest surviving dwelling in the district to be constructed by a member of the Perry family. Upon Charles Perry Sr.’s death, Charles Jr. reworked the Greek Revival style in the Colonial and Classic Revival styles—first in the 1890’s and again in 1906. In 2016, the neighboring Larkin-Lewis-Perry house was purchased. Both properties have amazing woodwork and historic charm. We stayed in a lovely handicap accessible room in the Larkin-Lewis-Perry house with a door and ramp to the outside. Our beds were comfortable, and our room was well laid out. The owners Sarah and Chris Cooper were very hospitable and provided a hearty and delicious frittata breakfast for us in the morning. We felt welcomed and cared for by Chris and Sarah.
Thanks, Bob and Mavis

We needed a place to stay to attend a wedding in the area and Margin Street Inn was recommended to us. We found it to be very charming and comfortable. The breakfast was freshly made and delicious. Our hosts were very accommodating and helpful. It is near the center of town but away from the hubbub. We would definitely stay here again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Margin Street Inn in Westerly, RI, and it was an absolute delight! The breakfast was not just delicious but also a delightful way to start the day. The rooms were impeccably beautiful, with comfortable beds that made our stay incredibly cozy. One of the best features of this inn is its convenient location. Being within walking distance to Main Street was a real bonus, and it made exploring the area so much more enjoyable. We were in town to attend a show at the Knickerbocker Cafe, and the inn's proximity to the venue was perfect – we could easily walk to the show. The hospitality at The Margin Street Inn was outstanding, and the charming atmosphere added to the overall experience. My wife and I are already looking forward to our next stay at this wonderful inn. Highly recommended!Rooms: Gorgeous room with a view and a big bathroom.Nearby activities: Wonderful music venues, shops and restaurants nearby.Safety: Very safe and secure building.Walkability: Very walkable to town!Food & drinks: Delicious breakfast and afternoon snacks!Noteworthy details: It’s a beautiful building and campus.

We had a very memorable stay here when we attended a wedding in Watch Hill. The town of Mystic is just a short drive away. Sarah and Chris create a very welcoming environment and do a great job with the breakfast and happy hour. Every aspect was top-notch. Pricey but worth it!
