I had rented the "Pondside Paradise" cottage, it was exceptionally clean and I loved being on the salt pond. Perfect for all! I loved every minute there. The staff at Stanton Reality have been friendly and professional. I am looking forward to next summer!

Stanton Reality was easy to work with from start to finish. Only short concise emails, not a bunch of junk. They are friendly and answer the phone when you call. The cottage was a cottage, small but just what we wanted with easy access to the beach and great views.

First I would like to say that working with Stanton Realty was seamless, Sean was always quick to respond. My issue is not with Stanton Realty, it’s with the owner/rental itself! The cottage had no AC in any of the bedrooms, only fans, in the listing it stated AC unit, but it was only in the downstairs living room. All the bedroom doors are old and creaky, very loud, if a breeze is coming in through the windows it rattles and shakes. If someone else is getting up in the night you DEFINITELY HEAR THEM opening and closing these doors, they will just SLAM shut on their own.The bathroom doors are broken, they don’t shut well. And once you get it shut, you get stuck inside the bathroom. The knobs on the door feel like they are going to fall off.The closet door knobs pull right off, horrible. The screens on downstairs front and back doors are broken, they keep popping out of the seems, so flys, bees, mosquitoes have a visit constantly. The outside is always loaded with bees, forget trying to eat outside. The box springs under the mattress had dead bugs and dust. The couches look like they haven’t been cleaned in years. I never sat in it myself. Gross. The dining room chair had a loose leg, my mother almost fell. The house and furniture is basically dingy and dated. My family and I do this week in Misquamicut every year as a tradition, and this is the first time I couldn’t wait to go home.I would use Stanton for bookings again because they are great, has nothing to do with the stay. But don’t book 22 Crandall Ave!

Have rented through Stanton for the last 15 years. Check in and out is quick.Communication was easy. Rented a home destroyed by the hurricane for 4yrs then rented Fazzy for the last 11.Their web site makes it easy to look at all the properties. They communicated with the house owner when a door lock broke and the owner was out within 2hrs to fix it. Wonderful house, we loved it.

Every aspect of booking my vacation stay through Stanton Realty was seamless. Communication was always clear and concise. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I rented Cosmo’s Place which was perfect for my needs. The owner, Cathy, lives on the property and was a delight. She was the sweetest host and I would gladly rent from her again if Cosmo’s Place becomes available in the future. I will definitely be utilizing Stanton Realty to book my next stay. Thank you all for your professionalism, support, and friendly service!

Firstly I’ll say that Stanton Realty was fabulous to deal with and I would definitely rent from them again… BUT NOT THIS COTTAGE -383 Atlantic Ave Westerly RI (Kitty E)I began looking for a rental on Misquamicut Beach in Dec of 2021 as a Christmas/Birthday gift for my boyfriend & my Mom for Summer 2022.The photos of this unit did not give a good feel for the property but because it was one of the only beachfront ones left and I was trying to keep a yearly tradition going... I rented it “sight unseen” and paid the first half of the rental cost up front. The total for one week at this property came to $6561.00 after the tax and service fee. So it averages out to 937 per day.I have stayed at multiple beachfront cottages on Misquamicut (with no complaints) in the past and this one is by far in the worst condition of any of them. There is a lack of basic maintenance here that is deplorable. Here are just a few things of note:The 1/2 bath upstairs toilet runs continuously, the handle on outside shower is resting on it but basically off, the upstairs bathroom sink continually leaks, the refrigerator handle was broken off at the top, the refrigerator bins don't ride on a rail, the grout in the shower stall was so full of mold/mildew it was disgusting. The screens on sliders to deck are all damaged and ripped apart, the decks are desperately in need of being completely redone...there are cheap overlapping outdoor throw rugs held down by nails on some surfaces but even the nails are coming out and sticking up... we pounded some of them back in using bricks that were holding pieces down… After multiple slivers walking them we all had to wear shoes the rest of the week (no barefoot vacation here!), The deck is so flimsy that when you walk on it the whole house moves (my Mom actually thought there was a small earthquake one night before we figured it out)The stairs leading up to the bedrooms are so noisy (EVERY one of them) that there is no way to traverse without waking people, The upstairs bathroom and bedroom floors were covered with grin upon check-in and it appeared the cleaning had been hasty. The fans that are in the unit are all broken one of them even has a broken blade - better bring your own- I'm glad we did.The TV in my Mom's room must have broken and they just put another one on top of the bureau right in front of the broken one (didn't even take it down). The electronics are all hooked up in a rats nest of cabling which hangs in plain view. Using old style extension cords (no surge strips). See photos...The photos don't depict it but you better like stairs and climbing! Even the trek to the beach is a bit challenging for someone over 65 first down the decking, then up the ripped dune cover and then a steep drop to the beach!A quick search of various rental sites yields oceanfront (on the beach) properties in CT, RI and MA with more amenities, easier beach access & cheaper than this one that come with A/C, Washer/Dryer, outdoor hot tub, decks off of every bedroom, etc.A passerby stopped to chat with us and said they had rented this place once before with similar problems and complaints that obviously went unaddressed… so It’s not just this year that this happened. There were only 3 of us staying there but BEWARE if you plan to use the pullout couches - they are completely dilapidated and VERY dirty (see photo). We moved the dirties one against the wall and sat on the futon to watch tv.I was trying to keep a Misquamicut tradition in our family alive but it was done at the expense of staying in a substandard home that wasn’t worth the price! My advice is to keep looking… I’ll find a different one next year for sure!

We have been coming to Misquamicut Beach since 1968. Some years it was for a day trip other years it was for a week. We have been renting for full weeks since 1994. Stanton Realty has been there to help us rent houses. The office is helpful and friendly. They answer all questions and provide support when needed. The inventory of rental houses is extensive. My parents, my 5 siblings and their spouses, our children and their spouses and now even our childrens’ children attend our yearly trip to Misquamicut. Stanton Realty has made it easy to find houses that meet our ever changing needs! Thank you to Sean and Melissa who are currently leading the way and the others who have helped over the years-Stanton, Larry and Vic. Stanton Realty makes you feel like family!

I have dealt with Stanton Realty for over 30 years and there has been a steady decline in service and reliability. This year unfortunately the home we rented was filthy dirty. The house had dead bugs in every window sill. In addition there was a infestation of flys and ants throughout the entire home. If you tried to eat a meal or snack in either the kitchen table or enclosedPorch table you shared your food with crawling ants. Two of the three bathrooms had a variety of colors of human hairs in the sinks , the shower and bathroom floors. We were unable to sleep in the beds while staying awake throughout the night to catch bugs coming from the headboards and walls. There were cobwebs in every cornerThe house was so dirty and unsanitary that my daughter came to pick up her children that were spending the week with us. My wife who has major pulmonary issues spent the entire first day shopping for cleaning products and attempting to deal with the filth. In bringing it to Melissa and Sean they insulting offered a $75 refund of a cleaning fee for a service that was never done.UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!! For a 30 plus year client I requested a one day refund of $300 for the day we lost and the unsanitary conditions we endured. My request was totally ignored, AGAIN UNACCEPTABLE!!The office has no customer service training or any type of customer service protocols.Take a word of advice from someone who knows many realtors and homes in the area.BE VERY CAREFUL DEALING WITH STANTON REALTY!!!!!

This will be our first time renting through Stanton, but we are unsure how the process will shake out. I originally sent an email message through the website to inquire about specific units, and left a detailed voice mail. A week later, still no response. I finally reached an agent, who while very pleasant, she was not aware of any units open for rent in 2021, until I gave her the info available on the actual Stanton interactive map. I did put a deposit on a unit that would be acceptable, but not exactly what we are hoping to rent. I was surprised that there would be no additional follow up if another house more suited to our request was found. I was told I needed to do the research, or continue to call and see if there was any availability. Is that common?
