What an amazing stay we had at Pleasant View! I specifically want to mention the spectacular experience we had at The Hatch! The food was amazing and we couldn’t ask for better service from our waitress Francesca! She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and especially accommodating to our two small children and our allergy issues! If we could have Francesca be our waitress every time we stepped into a restaurant then we certainly would!

Room stunk of mildew carpet peeling up paint blisters on lower walls moisture
I have asthma had to use inhaler for breathing my wife woke up with headaches every morning they brought a spray bottle to room to stop the smell. Didn’t work. I have stayed at Breezeway resorts in the past and will never stay at Pleasant View again

There were a few quirks with the hotel that prevented a 5 star review, but even with those minor issues, I will plan to come back. Here’s my detailed review..
Location 5 stars for sure!
Staff at the front desk and the restaurant were very attentive and friendly. Note that their 4 pm check-in is strict, and they can’t store your bags if you’re there early. I saw people at the pool or by the beach with all of their luggage.
I’m glad I called ahead to check on beach chairs, they do NOT supply beach chairs, so bring your own if you want to be right on the beach. I took a train to the town, but was glad a lugged a beach chair with me. There are plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas overlooking the beach and by the pool. They do supply beach towels though.
I traveled all over the world, and never had a room where I couldn’t secure it from the inside. As a solo-traveling woman, this did make me uneasy to know that any staff member or someone with a key can get into my room at night since there was no lock on the inside. Some of my friends said the absolutely would not stay there knowing that. I have no idea why they don’t have any inside locks.
Rooms- my room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool. The shower was AA++. Great temperature and water pressure. My room never got cleaned though. The room attendant left a tip request card, but it never got cleaned. When I inquired upon checkout about that, they said I had to request room cleaning upon check-In. I think I should have been asked at check-in.
Restaurant- I ate a lunch there and a dinner at the bar. Food was very good. Note that they do NOT serve any breakfast. I saw many families in the morning dismayed when They got to the restaurant to find it closed. There are a few breakfast places to walk to, not super close- about 5 or 6 blocks away. They will put out a coffee and tea station in the lobby though. On Thursday night they host a music bingo which was fun for all ages. I even met a lot of locals that go there for the event.
My few tips about the area… I traveled by train, so didn’t have a car. I had to use Uber a few times (to go town, for the Westerly train station, etc..). The wait times were pretty long for Uber’s so I learned to schedule my Ubers a head of time. On Mondays and Weds evenings there is live music at Westerly Town Beach. Tunes on the Dunes. Definitely check it out. I enjoyed a day in the downturn area of Westerly. Nice book store/coffee shop- Martin’s books. Great Mexican food at Amigo’s. I had a lunch at Ocean House Verandah. Gorgeous venue!
As I said, I plan to return to the town and the hotel again. Enjoy your trip.

I have gone here a few times over the years. It definitely has changed for the worse despite the price going up so much. This latest time we stayed in the section over the bridge so I dont know if that has anything to do with it but the carpets(wet and sandy) and floors were never vaccuumed once or swept in the 4 days we stayed. There was more sand in our hallway than there was on the beach. They used to have an outdoor shower to rinse off in, but that was gone along with the fact that they no longer serve breakfast in their restaurant. The complimentary coffee was also terrible. Our bathroom was also gross because there were brown stains on the walls. Luckily, I had wipes with me to clean it🤢. It was hot and humid in the main hotel and dining area. I will say the servers were great, and the food was good but definitely not worth the money anymore. How sad. I used to love it there!

We stayed this past week with our 4 little ones. We had questions about our stay and spoke to Krista on the phone who was so helpful and made sure our room was just right upon arrival. We had a crib ready for our little one to nap when we arrived which was amazing! We dined at the restaurant inside the hotel which was very well priced for a meal on the ocean. Chef Lenny came out and said hello to our family which was so nice! We had some questions by the pool that Joe helped us out with, the entire staff is so friendly. Poolside popsicles were delivered throughout the day which was such a fun surprise for the kids. We stay every year and we already can’t wait to come back next year! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I had such an amazing time the Pleasant View Inn restaurant! Marcus was my server and took great care of me and my friends. Elanah made my drinks and they were so delicious, Logan cooked the most delicious parm and went above and beyond! Alyssa was amazing and stopped by our table to check in on us, everyone was so attentive! I will most definitely be returning!

To say my experience at the Hatch at the pleasant view was a 10/10 is an understatement. Management is amazing, Alyssa welcomed us at the door as well as the hostess who was able to get us seated fast on a busy Sunday night. My bartender Elanah was so welcoming and friendly and made the most amazing cocktail (summer essence martini) and got to meet the chef who made my crab cakes, Logan, who came out to make sure the food came out okay! Will be coming back here every time I’m in the area.

Stopped in for dinner last night and was completely blown away. The food was out of this world, every bite was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. The service? Even better. Paul was on point all night, keeping our waters topped off without ever needing to ask. Alyssa and Chelsea were incredibly welcoming and made sure we felt taken care of from start to finish. The meal was so good I had to ask who was in the kitchen, huge shoutout to Logan, LJ, and Jose for absolutely crushing it. Can’t say enough good things. This place is the real deal… a top-tier spot with a team that goes above and beyond. Already counting down the days until I come back.

Went for drinks and food. Amazing experience. Paul was so friendly and kept refilling our water. Alyssa and chelsea made great drinks and Logan the chef came out and stopped by our table. 11/10
