I have a problem using my credit card online and the only way to fix it is to wait for someone at CIBC to help me out. I called the 1-800 number on my card, talked to a machine for a few minutes, then to a man… but then was forwarded to the correct department.
The machine says the wait would be over 60 minutes, which for CIBC is normal. I HAVE BEEN WAITING ON HOLD FOR THREE HOURS! Can’t hang up or else I will start at the bottom of the cue again.
I wonder if we are just waiting for regular business hours to start in someplace like India or Vietnam… because there’s no way it should be like this. Terrible company.

The Girls at CIBC downtown 11th Ave are the greatest, always willing to help in any way. A teller was assaulted with the end of those pen holders, this NUTTYGIRL that did that to the teller didn't even do anything, she didn't even go this teller. She remain professional through the whole ordeal....

I don’t have any problems with this branch but had to write my review somewhere!Costco master cards have been nothing but ridiculous and broken since CIBC took them over! My mom got a new card, activated it and it wasn’t working so she had to waste an hour over the phone to figure out what’s wrong and they just ended up telling her there was a block on the account! That’s funny! It’s a new card and account that has just been activated! Why you don’t just say your system is broken and mistakenly blocked a NEW card?!That’s not all! My dad activated the auto payments for her Costco credit card. Got a call few weeks later that the balance is over due! So he explained that he has auto payment on. They apologised waived the fees and said the auto payment is working correctly now. Only for him to find out a month later it hasn’t been set up YET AGAIN! And they are not waiving the charges now! What a joke! Will definitely not be doing any business with this bank.

i tried opening an account with them. waited almost 2.5 additional weeks as the person working there told me that he has fixed eveything and i should come back 5-6 days later. i came back actually weeks later and still the debit card wasn’t ready. and the second person working there couldn’t even make it clear as to what was the actual issue?like i clearly don’t work at the bank, how am i supposed to know what’s happening? aren’t you working there would know why the client’s debit card isn’t ready? so i figured, they don’t care unless it’s a credit card you’re signing up for. amazing!
