Needed a rebuild or a new transmission. There was no way I could afford it. They wasted no time finding me a used transmission with less than 40k km on it and cut the cost in half. My gratitude knows no bounds. Thank you.

'24 had my vehicle for total of 6 weeks. Sat for 3 waiting to get diagnosed. Rebuilt the diff. Year later seals blew. Since getting fixed, within the year, I had driven the vehicle 2900km. Only driving to work and back. EDIT: Brought it to you guys in 24. Where the hell is January '23 coming from. Also went with another place as they got my vehicle in fast. I can't have it sit for damn weeks waiting for a quote.

Changing to 3 stars from 1- July 18, a woman called me (I'm sorry i forget your name) and explained in great detail what I need done to my vehicle. She was very nice, personable, funny and communicated well. We had a good conversation and she apologized for taking so long to get back to me. Thanks for the call to clear things up!
I waited a month and a half for my diagnosis appointment, which is totally fine. I understand shops can be very behind and busy. I drop it off at 8am on July 15 when they open for them to take a look at my transmission as I believe it was slipping in the 3rd gear and there was a rattling noise in the front end by my tires. Wait all day, no call so I finally call at 3:30 for an update. The guy sounds extremely confused like he has no clue what's going on and says they need to keep it over night so they can look at it again tomorrow. Super inconvenient since no one was going to call and tell me this as I have children and a full time job that I need to get to but whatever. So, next day rolls around (July 16) and still no call by noon so I call at 1pm for an update. They say they looked over the transmission and it needs a rebuild, but they're just waiting on a bay to open up for them to look over the suspension in the front end and he will call me in an hour or so with a diagnosis. No call by 3, so I call again at 3:30 for an update. They tell me what's wrong, and that I can pick it up whenever. I said ok, no problem I'll be there after work, but can I have a priced out estimate for the parts and labor and they said yes. I get there at 4:45, paid the bill, they told me the estimate is all done up so I trusted them and just left. I get home to look at it and it was only an estimate on the transmission and not the suspension like I asked. So, I call them 8am July 17 and tell them I asked for an estimate of everything they diagnosed and he says oh yea no prob let me just sort it out and I'll call you back soon. I've been waiting all day and still no call for a simple estimate for a control arm and tie rods. I took my vehicle here because of all the raves about it, but I do not recommend going here unless you want to be waiting forever with no communication.

Great service! Had transfer case failing on my service vehicle. Other reputable shops in town wouldn't even consider it due to its age 2005. Not ancient. The boys here got it in on scheduled date, rebuilt tranny and transfer case with latest performance upgrades. Vehicle is running good as new.

Called because my transmission and transfer case went on me in Moose Jaw. Jared was very thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful over the phone in regards to what will be needed to get my truck back up and running and the costs associated. I had also previously researched online. This shop knows what they are doing. Period! Keep up the great work! All of the best.

Jarrid is the man. Found me a reman 6L90 with a billet torque converter and warrantee AND squeezed me into his busy schedule. All the other shops I called were booking out a month. Blowing my transmission on a cross-country road trip sucked, but Jarrid and the guys at Downtown made it a lot less terrible. Regina ended up being a really fun city full of kind people.

0 STAR REVIEW!!! I dropped my vehicle off 3 months ago telling them what issues needed to be fixed, they told me a couple weeks they will have it in the shop, no one called me ever in the whole duration. I always had to call them to figure out what’s happening everytime!. In the 3 month span they put my vehicle on the lift “supposedly” and “diagnosed it”. Without test driving it? untill I called them the second time questioning why they haven’t done anything. They told me there isn’t anything wrong with the vehicle. About a month and sum passes by. I had to call them again since theirs no communication. Lady at the desk told me the technician hasn’t even test drove it yet. Leaving a memo saying theirs no issues. I had to wait another 2 weeks because technician wanted a vacation. After about 2 months of waiting. I call and they tell me they test drove it. And no issues. So the technician tells me to come test drive it with him at 10am and when I show up. They have to reschedule me for my schedule appointment… what a joke this place is. The guy at the desk proceeds to tell me they found a sound the whole time and wasn’t informed I wanted it fixed? Like excuse me it’s been at the shop for 3 months and you didn’t expect me to want any work done too it? I don’t understand how a business can run like this. I paid 500$ in insurance (sgi plates)to keep it inside their compound. Very unreliable place. I would never recommend or even go to this place! If you didn’t wanna do the work? Just deny the work or tell me you are too busy. Instead you wasted my time and left me stranded. I wonder what excuse you’ll respond too this one will be…

I would give 0 stars if I could. Left my car to be diagnosed and serviced. 3 weeks later nothing had been done. Decided to pick up the car and go somewhere else. When I expressed frustration with what I thought was poor customer service the gentleman stated…. “Well we’ve been open for 60 years we must be doing something right”……my advice is, if you want to be in business for another 60 years, your gonna have to do better. This was beyond poor service.

Downtown Automatic replaced my transmission and overall has been great to deal with. The used transmission had some issues after it was installed due to it being from an area in Canada where salt is often used on roads but they addresses the issues and got me back on the road.
