I went there the other day to buy something found it bought it next thing I know there employee followed me outside and started taking pics of me and my vehicle so confronted her she ran and hid so confronted the manger who I’m sure sent her out there to do it cause he already knew all about it. Just all around a very shady experience. I’ll never step foot in any of there stores again Home Depot will get all my business now

I haven't been here for a while, but I have to say RONA has really impressed me — definitely beats Home Depot now! Great selection, especially for kitchen cabinets, and the overall experience was excellent.

I am a VIP member with strong purchasing power, and I have tried hard to avoid this location due to repeated poor service experiences. Unfortunately, my recent visit proved nothing has improved.
The lumber department manager is one of the worst I’ve dealt with—rude, dismissive, and clearly lacking basic Canadian customer service skills or training. I was purchasing cedar lumber at a premium cost ($60+ each), yet nearly every piece was cracked or defective. I carefully picked the best of the pile, but even those were not great.
The cashier herself agreed with me that the quality was poor and even acknowledged my point that a discount would be fair. But when I asked the manager, his response was shocking: “If you don’t like them, don’t buy them.” No attempt at a solution, no respect for the customer, just arrogance.
This is a big contrast compared to Home Depot, where customer service is taken seriously. At Rona South, it’s clear they do not value their customers, nor do they meet the standards expected of a Canadian business.
I returned everything I purchased and will not spend another dollar here. I strongly do not recommend this store to anyone.
