They install wrong and unsafe tires on my car. The tires popped a few weeks later. When asked about it, they said that it's not there responsibility to tell me about the wrong tires, they were just doing what they were told.

Avoid this shop if you don't want to be charged for unnecessary work.
I brought a freshly safety-certified vehicle from Alberta that needed to be inspected in Saskatchewan in order to be plated. The vehicle is from 2018 and had no issues except for needing a rear wiper blade. I took it to Midas for the safety inspection. After the inspection, they called me, saying that the car was fine except for a couple of minor things:
- Needed a new wiper blade
- $130 for a wheel alignment (by the way, you can purposely throw off a wheel alignment)
- $60 for camber bolts in order to perform the alignment
- $130 to remove and install the camber bolts
They were trying to charge me over $300 for parts and work the vehicle didn't need, considering it had just passed inspection in Alberta.
I was skeptical about their findings, so I told them I would take the vehicle with me and replace the camber bolts myself, as they claimed the vehicle was not equipped with adjustable bolts.
I'm not a mechanic, but something didn't seem right—after all, the vehicle had just been inspected elsewhere. When I got home, I took the wheel apart, removed the camber bolt (which was in excellent condition), and discovered that it was actually adjustable and was the stock bolt that came with the vehicle.
I called the shop, sent them a picture of the bolt, and they admitted that the technician made a mistake, thinking it wasn’t equipped with the bolt. Isn't it their job to know that? They almost took over $300 from me—how many other customers are they doing this to?
I ended up having to bring the vehicle back, as you must return to the same place where it was inspected, and they still charged me for the alignment.
This place didn't apologize for the inconvenience of needing another permit to transport the vehicle back, nor for having to purchase a part, take the vehicle apart, reassemble it, and waste my time fixing something that was never broken—all because they wanted to overcharge me. A simple $150 safety inspection almost turned into a bill exceeding $500.
Yes, I contacted SGI to look into the people they certify.

Very, very, very unsatisfied anddownright angry about the lackof professionalism, greed, andmanipulative business practicesat this shop.I brought my vehicle in with acrack in the "Y" pipe just beforethe resonator. I asked if they could simply repair the crack, and I was told thecustom exhaust system I hadwould have to be replaced frontto back.It's at this point that Istarted to feel like they weretaking advantage of the factthat I was in dire need of therepair as I'm from out ofprovince and I was unable todrive the vehicle due to theexcess noise it was creating.Before work begun, I inquired as to the cost of a true dual exhaust system as opposed to the cat back dual exhast system currently installed. I was thinking that if I'm going to get an entirely new exhaust system, I might as well try to improve on the system I currently had which delivered a deep, throaty, muscle car sound which I very much enjoyed. Jarrod informed me that a 3-inch pipe would outperform dual exhaust.I reluctantly agreed to have them perform the work as I really felt I had no other options. I dropped the vehicle off on a Saturday, and it was ready by Friday as they had told me it would be. Due to my work schedule, I was unable to pick up the vehicle til this morning.I went to pick up the vehicle up this morning, and they were late opening the store. So, I decided to take a peek through the bay door window to look at my vehicle. I immediately noticed that it now had only 1 tail pipe instead of the 2 it had when I brought it in to be serviced.When they finally let me into the store to pay, I inquired as to why the dual exhaust system I had before was not reinstalled. I was told "we could only order stock parts for that vehicle." This was never mentioned to me, nor was I given the option to say that's not what I want, prior to the installation beginning. I foolishy trusted them to at least reinstall a similar and not a bare bones stock system for the outrageous price of nearly $2500.I would strongly suggest you avoid this location as they are unscrupulous and manipulative. I will never use their services again, nor will I send others to them for business. In fact, I will do everything within the confines of the law to discredit them and prevent others from falling prey to their underhanded tactics.Update, Tuesday April 23.Just got off the phone with Jarrod he told me we had discussed installing the stock system. I told him we didn't. He proceeded to call me a liar and then further insulted me by telling me it's not his fault I don't understand English.He asked me what he could do to appease me and I said you could give me some money back. He responded by offering me a free oil change which I declined. I told him $500 off the price would be a good start and unless he was willing to start at $500, I'd leave the review up.He told me he didnt care about the review to which i replied, "I guess your customers opinions dont matter to you then" It's at that point he began verbally insulting me as I mentioned earlier in this review. I will admit to telling him to F off at the end of the conversation.I will be consulting my lawyer and human rights commision in regards to the remarks.Being a decendant of immigrants and slaves, I take personally, the insults made toward me in regards to literacy and concept of language. We worked hard to overcome these injustices and I'm not going to take these insults lightly.I am now as upset over the assault on my character than I am about the exhaust system.This very unprofessional person took personal shots at me, rather than to handle the ordeal professionally. Which only solidifies my belief that his tactics were purposeful and unscrupulous from the beginning.
