Normally I'm a huge fan of this store. Don't get me wrong, most staff is competent and handle themselves very very well at this store. But I was saddened tonight to leave the store empty handed due to just not getting talked to. Love this store and I get good help is hard to find but that was annoying.
Edit: changed to 4* from 3* after recent doings there with a great manager lady who changed my views.

This petland store is Absolutely filthy. When has the last time the floors and entrance way have been cleaned.?? Will not return!!!!! There has been boxes of opened dog sweaters sitting by the shelf and its been there at least one month. That area is very unorganized.

Petland has more and better parrot toys than other store in Regina, and they also have bulk parrot food and seed mixes available.

It was not very well staffed, did not get asked if I needed help finding things. Staff all stood in one corner of the store together.

The store itself is fine. Clean and well-stocked. Cute animals everywhere. However, the staff are all very young and don't seem well-equipped to stand-up to the more ignorant customers who are absolutely terrifying the animals in the open-top cages. I was really upset to see people tearing the bedding out, chasing and harassing the small animals. If they're not able to prevent the animals from being mistreated they should consider closed top cages and more supervised handling or have a more authoritative manager on staff to deal with these types of people.
