Established 54 years ago, it houses one of the largest collections of Prairie Canadiana in North America, a substantial Indigenous collection, and extensive sections on local history and labour and union history. The atmosphere wraps you with comfort and warmth, filled with the smell of libraries and archives, and is a vault of history and civilization for exploration. The owners and staff are always nice, helpful, and provide great customer service. They are informed and relaxed, not pushy, and want to make meaningful connections. They answer questions and help as needed, with no pressure to purchase. The shop also offers excellent online service with fair pricing, responsive communication, and careful shipping. It is a highly recommended, incredible experience and a ‘Best Kept Secret’ in the heart of the city.
