I recently got married, and myself and my groomsmen purchased our suits from Tip Top at the Southland Mall. The initial visit where we chose our suits was very positive (we opted for matching navy checkered suits), but subsequent visits were less than desirable. We all had to purchase our suits and get alterations done separately due to very different work schedules, and each of us had a fairly negative experience. My own negative experience was when I was told when I was getting measurements that I had purchased a size too small and that my two only options were to buy a bigger jackets or to lose weight before my wedding. The jacket fit fine and I was happy with it so I informed the person helping me that I was happy and she didn’t seem to agree but didn’t say anything. She then tried to charge me more for alterations than I was quoted, and admitted to a mistake when I challenged her. After that, things were fine for me. My one groomsman went in to get his alterations done, and the same employee helped him. She did his measurements and pinned his suit in a way that made him very uncomfortable with how the suit fit and he told her as much. She disagreed with his assessment of his own comfort, but listened to his input and changed the pins and chalk. Fast forward to when he picked up his suit after alterations, and they were poorly done. The back of the jacket was all bunched up and the suit jacket was fitted the way he had told the employee he didn’t want. There were also some alterations he was charged for that didn’t get done. He brought it back after initially taking it home and the employees agreed it was botched, so they refunded some of the cost of the alterations and the tailor fixed what had been botched. He was content and so was I. Finally, my best man went in to purchase his suit. He gave them his name and the same employee I had already had negative experiences with grabbed the type of suit we had agreed on and got him to try it on and sent him on his way (he didn’t need alterations). Except it wasn’t the same suit as mine and the other groomsman. It was close enough that it was hard to tell without the other suits there, but come the morning of the wedding, we realized he had a different suit on. There was really nothing we could do, and I wasn’t super worried about it because it was close, so the wedding went ahead and it was a great day and we even made jokes about the suit being different. Fast forward to after the wedding, and we decide we should probably get something done. My best man called Tip Top and got the same employee on the phone that we had all had negative experiences with. He explained the situation and she initially was argumentative. She looked into his transaction and realized it was her who had helped him and gave him the wrong suit. She then proceeded to invite him into the store without apologizing for a refund. When he got there, she informed him that the notes they were left from our initial visit showed that we didn’t want matching suits and that it was the other groomsman who got the wrong suit (that matched with mine, the way we wanted it). She still gave him a refund, but didn’t apologize at all, she just asked how the “bride and groom took it”. I’m leaving a 2-star review not because of the wrong suit being sold to my best man (it actually became a funny story among us), but because of the ongoing negative experience we had with this specific employee. I quite liked my suit and plan on keeping it, I just wish there was some accountability with this employee. I urge anyone shopping there to make sure you’re getting what you want!

Omgoodness you need to fix the flickering lights in this store. It drove me bonkers while we were shopping. How does anyone even work under those lights.

Nice store and lots of merchandize, sales associates is a straight shooter, not gimmicks, not sales tactic, no padding sales of related products to get a bigger sale business; the danger of without a sale style, customers may feel ignored. Some may want to over sale. Overall.a nice store, and work same as the US. The draw back is the risk of Copycat.

Went to Tip Top to buy the rest of outfit for an event. Eric gave great recommendations, was quick and concise. Everything he picked first turned out to be what I left with. Great customer service, great guy ?.
