I recently encountered a disheartening situation with Cooke Insurance in 2022 when I reached out to pay for my auto pak insurance while studying in Toronto. Unfortunately, a mistake occurred on their part, as they ended up charging me for a car registration instead.The frustration mounted when the representative I spoke to refused to take any responsibility for the error, claiming that there was nothing she could do since it involved a car registration. The lack of accountability and the absence of an apology during this interaction left me disappointed and feeling that the professionalism I expected was sorely lacking.To address the issue, I was directed to contact SGI to inquire about a potential refund. Surprisingly, my experience with SGI was a stark contrast to that with Cooke Insurance. The customer service at SGI was exceptional - they took the time to genuinely listen to my concerns, conducted a thorough investigation, and demonstrated a commitment to resolving the issue.It remains puzzling why SGI had to bear the burden of rectifying a mistake that originated with Cooke Insurance. While I appreciate SGI's dedication to customer satisfaction, it is disappointing that Cooke Insurance did not exhibit the same level of responsibility and professionalism.This experience has left me questioning the reliability and accountability of Cooke Insurance. I hope this review serves as feedback for Cooke Insurance to improve their processes and prioritize customer satisfaction.
