The people were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. On top of that you could tell they were serious about roasting top notch beans, and crafting immaculate espressos and coffees. If you are serious about coffee, or just want a damn good cup of Joe in a place that you'll be greeted with a smile, this is your spot.

The Granary
2806 8 St E, SaskatoonDo yourself a favor when you are in Saskatoon and dine at The Granary! I had a prime rib and lobster craving and it did not disappoint. Everything was cooked to perfection, the price was very reasonable, the place was clean, the service was professional and accommodating and the owner even showed me around! My partner had the prime rib with shrimp skewers and he too loved it! Thank you Granary and I will stop in every time I am in Saskatoon.

He seemed genuinely appreciative of the verbal feedback that I gave him on the areas he needs to improve upon. I think he will fo a lot better next time out. However, things I was NOT impressed with concerned the menu not jiving with their online version: 1. We went there for the blooming onion appy...... they were not serving it in the restaurant at that time.... very dissappointed. 2. The platter for 1-2 peeps was $52 online. In the restaurant the price gouged us for $62.... where did the added $10 expense come from. 3. Even though the food was awesome, it was slow to come out, but totally worth the wait. Just make sure you budget extra time for that. We would definitely go back for the food.

Calories Restaurant
721 Broadway Ave, SaskatoonI haven't been to Calories for several years, but it really hasn't changed. The decor is retro, and a bit tired. The service was slow, but pleasant, and they were accurate with our order. I had a smoothie which looked amazing but had very little flavour, and a frittata with veggies and bacon. It was tasty, but heavy handed with the salt. We easily got a table for two on a Saturday at noon, but parking was poor. Broadway Avenue in Saskatoon is always tough for parking. In all, it remains a trendy Saskatoon staple, but I won't rush back.
