“Better Off Duds is hands down one of the best vintage stores in the city. Their attention to detail and deep knowledge of fashion across different decades is genuinely impressive and really shows in their curation.
What truly sets this shop apart, though, is the welcoming, relaxed vibe created by the staff. As a queer person, feeling included matters a lot to me, and this space feels safe and comfortable for shopping across all genders and styles. I would absolutely recommend Better Off Duds to friends—especially anyone with a more fluid or non-binary approach to fashion.”
“Best thrift store ever! I love the prices everything super affordable. This is the thrift store. I prefer over other thrift stores. I like how when you walk in it displays what color of the tags and it’s 50% off. And the staff are super friendly when I engage with them. I’m on a weight loss journey and I’ve been shopping for smaller clothes at the store when they go on 50% off.”
“Unlike many used clothing stores, the CWL Clothing depot is non-profit, volunteer-run, and 100% of sales go to charitable causes, such as the United Way. You will also find things other than clothing there --lamps, toys and games, dinnerware, Christmas trees, etc. etc.”
“I no longer live in Saskatoon but I shopped here for decades. Best Consignment store! Friendly management, clean and pleasant atmosphere with quality and variety of clothing and accessories. ❤️ ? ?”
“Love shopping here! These negative reviews are cracking me up - sorry you guys have to deal with that. The prices here are more than fair. I have found many great items here and love the theme/sale days. Always my first stop when looking for something to save money, shop second-hand and buy local!”
“Yes Plato’s doesn’t take lots of your good clothes and when they do it’s not a lot of money, but I attended Plato’s on Dec.12th and the staff was absolutely wonderful. I brought in a bad of clothes that was all denied, but on the side of the bag was an envelope with money in it. I was confused and the staff mentioned that it was found in the bottom of my bag. I would’ve NEVER known of those girls took that money, but no they returned it to me. This gives me home for the world lol. So, thank you to the young ladies that were working that day and so kindly returned my money.
Merry Christmas!”
“I stopped in Juniper and Oak this morning. My goal was to start looking for a grade 8 grad outfit for my youngest. While I didn't find something that was their style, I found some of the kindest sales associates I've ever encountered. Thank you both for being so welcoming and kind. I may have only found a sale blouse, but I left with a big smile on my face.”
