Hours: The Public Works Department has several divisions: The Roads and Bridges Division maintains approximately 600 miles of dirt roads and 300 miles of paved roads. They maintain "right-of-way" along all County roads and existing drainage systems, and install driveway/drainage pipes along County roads. It is the division's goal to provide all citizens of Aiken County with safe, maintained, and easily accessible roadways (whether dirt or paved), drainage systems, and roadway signs. The Solid Waste Division provides facilities for the disposal of household, commercial, industrial, construction waste, and land clearing debris. This division provides resources and educational support for advancement of recycling programs throughout the County
