Stacey is a good teacher, she helped my toddler feel super welcome and she came home excited about her day for 2 weeks.Unfortunately the management staff is unfriendly about any issues, they can't communicate with parents in a clear, mature way. I was told on a Thursday afternoon that I needed to pay $210 for that week even though my infant has been sick at home all week with a bronchial infection. I told them that Monday she wouldn't be coming, but no one said a word about still having to pay a bill. When I asked Thursday why they didnt say something to me monday, Asia said "she didn't know she needed to tell me that information", and she "didn't know what was going through my brain" when I said no one told me anything about that so why would I think I had to pay for childcare if my child wasn't there. It is disgusting behavior from a staff that I just paid $800 in 2 weeks. During the registration process they need to CLEARLY communicate all their requirements. Put a sign on the desk and the front door so there's no confusion. Hello, that's how a real business operates.

As a Mother, I expect for my child's safety to be the number 1 priority. I had a child attending this program during her breaks from her academic school. They place kids ages 5-12/13 into the SAME room during these breaks. My child had spoken to me about the other kids who were bullying her, not allowing her to get books, play with toys. They would literally block her way from getting to them. She is 5, and they were around 9/10- two girls. I told her she needed to let a teacher/adult know what was going on, and she said that she did. The teacher did not care, she said the teacher told her to tell them to move. That is so ridiculous to advise a 5 year old to do! I pulled her from the daycare, after speaking with bridget. Bridget tried to say that my child was lying and that did not happen, then she turned around and said that she (bridget) walked into the classroom and seen my child crying, she also told me, during the breaks from public school there is about 30 kids in the class, with only ONE teacher!! That is unsafe to say the least! I asked why was her crying hysterically - not told to me at pick up or anytime? She said it's because "kids cry" & that was weird, I told her my child attends a public school daily and has NEVER cried at any point. The lady in kitchen, christmas, is also rude. She tends to act as a teacher due to the short staff. Every morning I dropped my kid, I would hear christmas, and other teachers talking about the other employees, the parents and sometimes the kids in such a disgusting matter. I hated having to walk into this building everyday, I am so lucky that I no longer have to. Asia is also no help. They allow sick kids to attend, which is getting other kids sick. I've had to find other ways of babysitting due to this issue. They don't assist the kids in the bathroom, so who knows if the kids are in there playing in the toilet. They don't clean the kids face, hands or nose. Nap times are excessively long, even for the older kids. I urge all parents, if you can find somewhere to go, PLEASE GO! The drama and nastiness of this facility is not worth the headache your kids are witnessing daily. If you do not like your job, or kids.. you need to find a new job! The whole staff here is just dramaful, and honestly entirely too old to act the way that they do.

I DO NOT recommend this facility to any parent ! Some of the workers , not all, are very inattentive to the children . My child came home with not one but two bite marks within his first 3 months of enrollment. There were always excuses made by the director, Asia, as to why no one knew or could recall him being bitten. Later, I myself, witnessed an incident at drop off that HER child was one of the biters. So it seems like there is a personal relevance as to why they never had answers about my kids bite-marks. Also she seems very desperate for workers as they barely ever have space to keep the kids due to short staff. Also she got very upset when I questioned the classroom teacher about the second bite mark . She got so mad that she dismissed my child from care and also contacted other centers so that my kid couldn’t go to a different sunshine house which seems very suspicious! I contacted headquarters or corporate and no one has gotten back with me yet ! Which led me to posting an official review for this center . I am a business owner and if there wasn’t a need I would have NEVER hopped on here to post this but I am advocating for our kids . As parents it is our job to speak up . And my next complaint is headed to the DSS website ! Thanks, kind Regards.

I would recommend looking for another day care. Operation times went from 6am-6pm, to 7am-5:30pm due to “Covid”. They are constantly understaffed. They are constantly turning kids away without notice. It is a huge inconvenience when I have to miss work while paying for weekly childcare service.

Each staff member here is amazing. I love the communication the staff holds with parents and chrildren(which is VERY important to me)Throughout the day I get updates(pictures), from activities to each meal. They work very hard with the children. The director Mrs. Asia even gets in the classroom and enjoys time with the children(she's awesome)And Ms. Bridget is awesome as well she's amazing when it comes to learning . And Mrs. Christmas is very sweet and helpful, Mrs. Brittany is so loving, I really appreciate how much love she has to give, my baby loves her so much ❤️ I wish I could do a shout out to each staff member individually because they are all amazing. I want to thank each and every one of you❤️

Phenomenal childcare service! Its a great feeling knowing that my child is safe and in good hands. The director is fantastic and very sympathetic with the kids and parents. If I ever have questions she always provides me with clarity and is very understanding. You can tell she really cares about the kids.

Sunshine House has been taking care of my little one since he was 2 months. He has learned a lot in two years. They are informative about his learning and provide activities to support the growth of my child to prepare him for school.
