Char was super personable and professional. I was dropping off 3k mailers for our new location in Aiken. She was super helpful and made the experience smooth and pleasant.

This is where I wish I could leave 0 stars. By far the worst run and managed post office a person could have the bad luck to walk into. I went in for a package pick up. The package could not be found and the manager with no apology whatsoever said “might have been put back on the truck. You know usps is struggling with problems”. And with a shrug of the shoulders her caring ended. A complete waste of a drive and wait there. Let’s hope DOGE shuts this waste down and I hope the manager is first to go.

Around 4:40 today I admittedly went in late. I was having a realllyyy bad day. The woman at the front desk helped me direct where I needed to go with my package as the time was too late for delivery at the time I needed. She helped me calm down and was very understanding. Everything got done and I appreciated her help when I was so stressed.

Missing Passport:
Summeral Station, Silver Bluff, Aiken did an outstanding job tracking and giving me personal followup calls on my passports where-a-bout! I understand it took a couple of months and a lot of USPS team work from our Aiken branch but they managed to pull the loop routing from NYC/NJ and bring it home to me! Thank you USPS!

Just when you thought our postal servive couldn't get any worse, not only do we get delivery after dark, why is it , that the carrier can't close the mailbox door ? Of the 3 pieces delivered on 2/11 , 2 can't be read because they are soaked from the rain .

The rudest employee I have encountered in quite some time. There was virtually no line, and she had no reason to be so rude & angry.

Worst post office ever

No mail delivery for 8 straight days now. No one answers the phone in their office, no way to speak to a human being or even leave a voice mail. Isn't there a federal law about mail delivery?

My work has required me to move every 3 to 5 years and I have lived in several cities in SC over the last 22+years. Some were big cities in some were small towns, like Aiken. But I have never encountered problems I am experiencing now with getting my mail delivered to my home. I get messages that my driveway was obscured or my front door was unaccessible, neither of which has ever been true. I hope the USPS is privatized soon so people can be held accountable for not doing their jobs.

It’s a huge aggravation when the mail doesn’t deliver until after 5pm. Just to find out the package or piece of mail wasn’t delivered on the expected posted delivery day. Want to go to the post office to pick it ip yourself? Good luck. Either get ready to wait for an hour for them to “search for it” or just be told you can’t get your mail cause its “on the delivery truck” been on that some truck for 3 days? Never had this much headache or struggle to get some mail delivered or at a decent hour. Sadly this is on going not just a one time thing.

Do you have time to burn? Not enough boredom, aggravation and abysmal customer service in your life? Look no further. The moment you step into this spacious, seemingly well equipped post office and see the line snaking back on itself, you'll know you're about to waste some serious time. Make sure to allot at least 30 minutes to accomplish the simplest task. Need stamps? That'll be 45 minutes of waiting in line, several hushed whispers about why this place is always like this, and Oscar the Grouch grumbling your total before cramming your books of stamps into your hands. Probably should just clear your afternoon, folks.

nice to get USPS delivery notices each morning, trouble is no mail delivery until after dark so we have no clue when it arrived. Our mail carrier showed up around 10 a. m. five years ago. Each year it seems to have gotten worse. Since Aiken Standard decided to do away with paper delivery and contracted with USPS delivery, we don't get a paper on holidays or government days! Would be nice to send a notice to recipients what their delay issues are rather than upset folks in this town.

I would give this post office a -10 stars. Rude miserable staff. If you want a good place to send mail or get it delivered I suggest the ups store on Eastgate drive. The people at the ups store are wonderful highly recommend. This post office tho should just be closed.

DO NOT GO on your lunch unless you have an hour to spare! Average wait time is 30 mins...with one clerk!
